Steemit Challenge S34W7 | Question 2 : Ten Years From Now.
Hi guys, it’s another awesome week of Steemit Challenge Season 34, Week 7, where I’m gonna share my thoughts on question 2 topic “Ten Years From Now…”
For me, looking into the future isn't just about imagining a better life; it is about setting goals, making sacrifices, creating impact, and working toward the future I want.
Where Do You See Yourself 10 Years from Now?
---
I see myself as a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur who is passionate about solving societal problems. I want to build a business that does more than generate profit. I want to create something meaningful that positively impacts people's lives.

My dream is to establish a clothing brand for children, offering quality, beautiful, and affordable clothing to parents from different economic backgrounds. Every child deserves to look good and feel comfortable, regardless of their family's financial situation.
What job do you hope you will be doing? Where will you be living?
---
As earlier mentioned I will hope to be a businesswoman and an entrepreneur. To make this dream a reality, I know that preparation is essential. As I approach the stage of life when I begin thinking seriously about retirement, I want to have saved enough money to serve as my startup capital. I understand that building a successful business requires patience, discipline, determination, and financial planning. I am therefore committed to working hard, saving wisely, and acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to turn my vision into reality.

When it comes to where I see myself living, I imagine settling near the beautiful coastal beach of Limbe. The peaceful environment, fresh sea breeze, and natural beauty would provide the perfect setting for the life I hope to build. More importantly, I would like my residence to be close to my clothing store, making it easier for me to manage the business while ensuring that my products are accessible to more customers. For me, success is not only about accumulating wealth but also about enjoying peace of mind and creating a balanced life.

How will society in your country have changed by then?
---
Beyond my personal ambitions, I hope to see significant changes in Cameroon by 2036. With visionary, accountable, and people-oriented leadership, I believe our country can make tremendous progress in infrastructure, road networks, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. Unfortunately, corruption, greed, and poor governance continue to hinder development.
Too often, the interests of those in power appear to take precedence over the welfare of ordinary citizens. I hope that, in the next ten years, Cameroon will have leaders who prioritise the needs of the people and use public resources to improve living conditions for everyone.

Will the world be very different in 2036?
---
Absolutely in terms of technology, education, healthcare, and business will likely continue to evolve rapidly. However, I fear that the gap between developed and developing countries may widen if meaningful investments are not made in local industries, infrastructure, innovation, and human capital. Many developing nations remain heavily dependent on foreign aid and the export of raw materials, while a large proportion of their populations struggle with poverty. Unless this pattern changes, economic inequality may become even more pronounced.
Another major concern is the devastating impact of conflict and war. It is heartbreaking to reflect on the Anglophone crisis in Cameroon, which has brought years of killings, kidnappings for ransom, destruction of homes, and the displacement of families. Communities have lost loved ones, children have missed educational opportunities, and countless people have seen their dreams shattered. These are painful reminders that while ten years can be enough to build a successful business or transform a nation, they can also be enough to destroy lives and reverse years of progress.
In sum, ten years is a significant period in which individuals and nations can experience tremendous transformation. By 2036, I hope to have built a thriving children's clothing brand, achieved financial independence, and contributed meaningfully to society. I also hope to see a more peaceful, prosperous, and equitable Cameroon. The future is uncertain, but one thing remains clear in my mind “…the future we eagerly desire depends largely on the decisions we make and the actions we take today for better future generations.” Let us dare to dream, prepare diligently, and work towards a future we will all be proud of contributing in one way or another.
