The church work and human welfare are inseparable

Hello Steemians 👋 I feel good sharing this post. It was on Sunday that the church management chairman drew my attention concerning our next project as the development of the church land continues.

We have successfully drilled a borehole, mounted a water tank stand, and constructed and installed a biodigester system. But we are yet to build convenience to serve the members well. Due to its urgency, we do not need to wait for the whole building plan to make the temporary thing work.

I had to call for a meeting, which the building and project committee met with the management. The architect was invited to defend the plan he drew and also guide the committee accordingly. We moved round the site and checked positioning with reference to the original building plan. Observations were made, questions asked, contributions listened to, and the architect was firm in his profession, which gave us confidence to proceed in what we are doing.

Every doubt and disagreement due to diverse opinions died instantly. Next was to receive the full report of the building committee. The proposal was also presented with quotation on the materials and full financial breakdown to carry the building from the beginning to the end, including buying of water tank and WCs.

Afterward, we were satisfied with the building plan. We needed to use the opportunity to establish our welfare policy toward our members. We had few members to financially assist them to start petty businesses while others were to learn skills and things the church needed to do for a few individuals to better their lives.

For business, the church Sexton was chosen, while the management committee agreed to make an announcement to help us pick a few persons and empower them. What is church is that physical members are hungry and wretched. The church exists to care for the spiritual and the physical.

I must say that I am happy that I am working with people who understand and support my vision. We are one in all decision-making, and we have priority to save soul and body.
