STEEM EVM Update: 334K Blocks, IBC Osmosis Testing & SVM Scan Enhancements
The Steem Virtual Machine (SVM) continues to operate with exceptional stability, having now crossed 334,800 blocks. Today, I am excited to share updates on our expanding IBC interoperability tests and significant UI improvements in SVM Scan.

🌐 IBC Testing: Osmosis Integration
Following my recent post on expanding IBC testing, I have successfully conducted tests bridging assets from the Osmosis Testnet to the SVM. This marks a significant step toward full Cosmos ecosystem interoperability.
These tests confirm that SVM can seamlessly receive and manage assets from major IBC hubs like Osmosis, paving the way for future mainnet integrations where users can bridge tokens like ATOM, OSMO, and various LP tokens directly into the Sherpa Protocol ecosystem.
🔍 SVM Scan: Enhanced IBC Asset Display
I have rolled out a major update to SVM Scan (https://svmscan.blazeapps.org/) to improve the user experience for IBC participants.
New Features:
- Proper Denom Resolution: IBC voucher denoms (e.g.,
ibc/8E27...) are now automatically resolved to their human-readable names (e.g.,USDC,OSMO). - Correct Unit Formatting: Assets are now displayed with their correct decimal precision, ensuring balances are easy to read and understand.
- Wallet Page Clarity: The wallet overview now clearly distinguishes between native SVM assets and bridged IBC assets.
Network Health & Statistics
The blockchain remains robust with all 12 validators maintaining excellent uptime.
