SVM Testnet Update: 331K+ Blocks Reached and Sustained Infrastructure Readiness

Following up on my previous update regarding our 313,000 block milestone and the successful stress-testing of our oracle infrastructure during recent market volatility, I am pleased to report that the Steem Virtual Machine (SVM) testnet continues its steady, uninterrupted operation.
In blockchain infrastructure, consistent and uneventful operation is the ultimate indicator of success. The network is running exactly as designed, providing a rock-solid foundation for the upcoming phases of our development roadmap.
Network Health and Current Metrics
The SVM testnet continues to demonstrate exceptional reliability. The v0.0.4.x security patches and optimized oracle clients are performing flawlessly under continuous operation, with no consensus interruptions or sync issues.

- Total Blocks Produced: 331,891+
- Total Transactions: 12,464
- Average Block Time: ~5.4 seconds
- Active Validators: 11 / 12
The Value of Sustained Stability
Over the recent period, the network has absorbed all oracle data ingestions, bridge attestations, and standard EVM transactions without a single hiccup.
This sustained period of stability is not just a metric; it is the critical prerequisite for everything we are building next. A reliable, predictable base layer is required before we can confidently introduce complex smart contracts and user-facing applications. The fact that our 11 active validators have maintained near-perfect uptime during this phase proves that the automated update workflows and state-sync recovery processes we implemented are highly effective.
Looking Ahead: Sherpa Protocol and SVM App
Because the core infrastructure is holding strong, our development focus remains firmly on the next major milestones:
- Sherpa Protocol Deployment: With the network stabilized and oracle price feeds proven accurate under real-world market conditions, we are finalizing the environment for the deployment of our native DeFi smart contracts.
- The New SVM App: Final testing is underway for the new user interface, which will streamline wallet connections, transaction monitoring, and overall interaction with the testnet and upcoming DeFi primitives.
Detailed deployment schedules, contract addresses, and testing instructions for developers and validators will be shared in the coming days as we transition into this exciting new phase.
