animalCards Update: Mythic & Legendary card slots filled, call for photos from Steem photographers

Overview

This weekend, I added 11 new cards to the animalCards deck, and I fixed a couple minor bugs. My first priority right now is filling out the deck.

As-of today, all Mythic & Legendary card slots are populated. This can be seen in the card deck listings below showing all Legendary and Mythic cards that are currently available for collection by people who transfer the most STEEM or SBD to @null in any particular block.

And here are the pages to view the card history live:

• Card Deck - All cards that are currently available for collectors.
• Leaderboard - Who collected the most in certain time periods?
• Portfolio Search - Check to see what cards a specific account has collected in a specified time period. Also, sort and filter the cards according to various fields (scroll down).

Next up, I'll be working to populate the remaining epic, rare, and common slots. Which brings me to the next section.

Call for Photos

I'd prefer to populate the deck with photographs from Steem's photographers, if possible. Public domain is a second choice. Here's a general description of the types of photos that I'm looking for.

• Reasonably high quality. They don't need to be professional-level photographs, but the subject should be clearly visible and in focus.
• Wild animals preferred. I may include some domesticated animals, but wild animals are strongly preferred.
• No animals in cages or enclosures.
• The photos need to be submitted by the person who created them, and released for public domain usage so that game players can freely include them in blog posts. (The game will credit the photographer's Steem account, regardless of this licensing).
• I will need to be convinced that the photo was actually created by the submitter, so I'm counting on photographers to find convincing ways to demonstrate their ownership of the image.
• As long as I'm still populating the "unstable-test" generation of cards, I'm willing to replace public domain photos with photos that are submitted by Steem's photographers.
• Suggested beneficiaries to photographer accounts when cards with their photos are included in game players' blog posts:
  • Common - 1%
  • Rare - 2%
  • Epic - 4%
  • Legendary - 8%
  • Mythic - 16%
• Obviously, if the photos are licensed for public domain, those percentages cannot be required. However, it is possible for Steem's curators to reward players who respect the suggestions.
