How Much Are You Worth After Life Steps on You?

The teacher entered the classroom and wanted to give his students a quick lesson about life.

He took out a $100 bill, held it up, and asked:

“Who wants this?”

All the students raised their hands and said:

“We do!”

The teacher then crumpled the bill tightly in his hand until it became wrinkled. He asked them again:

“Who wants it now?”

Some students hesitated for a moment, but they all raised their hands and said:

“We still want it!”

Then the teacher dropped the bill on the floor and stepped on it with his shoe. He picked it up, held it in front of them, and asked:

“What about now? Who wants it?”

Everyone answered:

“We want it!”

The teacher smiled and said:

“This is the lesson I want you to remember: Be like this banknote. No matter how hard life becomes, and no matter how many difficulties and hardships you face, never lose your value in your own eyes, and never give up your principles.

Your true value is not determined by the circumstances you go through, but by the dignity, values, and principles you hold on to. When you preserve your self-worth, you preserve the respect of others.”
