Introducing Auto-Claim rewards on SteemX - Never miss to use this feature.
Hi everyone,
We are excited to roll out a new automation feature on SteemX called Auto-Claim Rewards. If you have ever forgotten to claim your STEEM, SBD, or SP rewards for weeks, this feature is for you.
What Is Auto-Claim?
Auto-Claim is a background service that automatically claims your pending author and curation rewards STEEM, SBD, and Steem Power, and deposits them straight into your account without you having to log in and click "claim" every time.
Once enabled, a dedicated service account @steemx.autoclaim sweeps your account every 10 minutes and claims any pending rewards on your behalf.
How It Works
- Visit the Auto-Claim page
- Go to Auto-Claim and log in with your Steem account.
- The page shows your current unclaimed STEEM, SBD, and SP in real time, pulled directly from the blockchain.
- Enable Auto-Claim
- Click "Enable auto-claim". This opens a confirmation modal explaining what you're authorizing, then asks for account auth to grant a posting authority to @steemx.autoclaim. That's it, you're enrolled
Is It Safe
This is the part that matters most, and it's worth being explicit about.
- claim_reward_balance is a posting level operation on Steem. the same authority level used for voting, posting, and following.
- Granting posting authority to @steemx.autoclaim cannot transfer funds, power up/down, change your keys, or touch your active/owner authorities in any way.
- You can revoke the authority on-chain at any time.
Status Tracking
The Auto-Claim dashboard also shows.
- Posting authority status:- confirms on-chain whether @steemx.autoclaim is currently authorized.
- Last claim time:- when your rewards were last swept.
- Claims made:- a rolling count of claims over the last 90 days .
Why We Built This
Manually claiming rewards is a small thing, but it adds friction especially for casual users, curators, or accounts that don't log in daily. Auto-Claim removes that friction entirely while keeping full custody and control in the user hands, nothing more than posting authority is ever granted and it can be revoked in a single click.
