Hey guys, it’s been a while since I last posted. Today I decided to jump on this “prove yourself as the best artist of this week challenge” organized by @dequeen
This piece is a very simple portrait I did using my charcoal pencil and crayon. It’s a portrait of a young girl wearing a green short scarf, this kind of scarf is common in Africa where women wear them to cover or protect their head from dust or harsh weather sunlight. This work took me around or close to an hour to finish.

Here are my progress work from start to finish, in this piece I started with a very simple sketch which I see as the frame work. After making the sketch out I started using my crayon to give it more dept and texture.
