Prove yourself as the best artist for the week

Today I am once again present in this beautiful contest with my new creative drawing. This time I made a beautiful sketch of butterfly and flowers. These beautiful and unique elements and things of nature have always attracted me very much. Butterfly is really considered to be a symbol of freedom, joy and hope while flowers represent beauty, freshness and love to our world. Keeping this idea in mind I created this drawing.

what did i make

I drew a beautiful butterfly in pencil flying near a bouquet of delicate flowers. Fine design and shading on the wings of the butterfly to make it look more attractive. Along with this, flowers of different sizes, leaves and small branches were added so that the whole image reflects the natural environment. Finally, the light shading made the image more beautiful and balanced.

Steps in making a drawing

First step:

I first wrote my username @mohammad1076 and date 30-07-2026 on the paper to fulfill the contest condition.

Second step:

I made a preliminary sketch of the butterfly's body and antennae.

Third step:

Shaped its two wings and added beautiful designs inside them.

Step Four:

Then draw different flowers, leaves and fine branches along with the butterfly to make the picture look more beautiful.

Fifth Step:

Finally I did light shading using my pencil over the whole sketch of butterfly, cleaned up unnecessary and unwanted lines and finished the drawing by completing all the necessary small details which requires for it.

How long did it take to complete the drawing?

This artwork took about a 30 almost minutes to complete and finalised. Since creating the delicate floral and butterfly designs required a lot of attention and concentration, I completed each and every step with calmness , focus and patience. When the drawing was finished, I was really very happy and pleased because it turned out exactly as I expected and what I wanted.

Where did I get this idea?

The idea for this drawing came to my mind from seeing butterflies flying in the garden and on different colours and patterns of flowers blooming. The colors and beauty of nature have always been the best source of art for me. That's why I tried to present both these elements in a single image.
For me, drawing is not just a way to pass the time, but a beautiful way to put my thoughts and feelings on paper. I practice daily to further improve my art skills.
