Dhaka is a city that never seems to stop. From the early morning rush to the evening traffic, every corner of the capital tells a different story about people, transportation, business, and everyday life. This photograph of Postogola in Dhaka beautifully captures one such moment of the city’s busy and vibrant urban environment. The image presents a busy road underneath a large elevated structure, with people moving in different directions and various types of vehicles sharing the road. The scene reflects the familiar rhythm of Dhaka, where pedestrians, cars, CNG-powered vehicles, rickshaws, buses, and other forms of transportation come together in a constantly changing urban landscape. One of the most noticeable features of the photograph is the large elevated roadway stretching across the scene. It represents the continuing development of Dhaka’s transportation infrastructure. Such elevated roads and bridges have become important parts of the capital’s transportation network, helping connect different parts of the city and providing alternative routes for commuters. The green road sign visible in the photograph points toward Mawa, reminding us that Postogola is not only an important part of Dhaka’s urban transportation system but also a significant gateway toward areas beyond the capital. The movement of vehicles and people in this area demonstrates how important this route is for daily commuters, workers, traders, and travelers. After many years, I finally found myself traveling along the road to Kajla again. Sometimes, returning to a familiar place after a long time feels much more meaningful than visiting a completely new destination. The roads may look different, buildings may have changed, and the surroundings may have become more modern, but the memories connected to those places remain deeply rooted in our hearts. During my journey to Kajla, I came across a Regal showroom along the roadside. The attractive red exterior and prominent Regal sign immediately caught my attention. I stopped for a moment and took this photograph as a small memory of my journey. The photograph captures a simple but meaningful moment. Standing in front of the showroom, I felt a mixture of nostalgia and curiosity. It made me think about how much the areas around Dhaka have changed over the years. Roads have become busier, commercial establishments have expanded, and modern showrooms and buildings have become an important part of the urban landscape. The Regal showroom itself represents the changing face of modern Bangladesh. With its bright red branding, glass-fronted entrance, and contemporary appearance, it stands in contrast to many of the older structures that can still be found along the roads of Dhaka. Such businesses are now common sights in the growing commercial areas surrounding the capital. But for me, this photograph is not simply about a showroom. It is about the journey and the memories associated with the road to Kajla. When we travel along roads that we have not visited for many years, familiar places can bring back memories that we had almost forgotten. A particular road, building, shop, bridge, or even a roadside sign can suddenly remind us of an earlier period of life. That is one of the beautiful things about traveling—the destination is important, but the memories created along the way can be equally valuable. The selfie in this photograph also makes the moment more personal. It records not only the place I visited but also the fact that I was there after such a long time. Years from now, looking back at this picture may bring back the feelings and memories of this particular journey.

A home is not simply a place to live; it is a place where we spend time with our families, relax after a busy day, welcome guests, and create countless memories. Therefore, choosing the right furniture and décor can have a significant impact on the atmosphere and personality of a home. This photograph also reflects the changing face of Dhaka. Modern commercial buildings are increasingly incorporating contemporary designs, large glass windows, attractive signage, and carefully planned storefronts. These features contribute to the rapidly changing visual landscape of the city. Another interesting detail in the photograph is the staircase leading toward the entrance. The combination of the staircase, textured walls, metal railings, glass surfaces, and golden exterior creates a visually balanced composition. Even the basement entrance adds depth to the photograph and makes the building appear larger and more dynamic. The reflection visible in the glass windows also provides a glimpse of the surrounding urban environment. Buildings, roads, utility lines, and everyday city activities can be seen reflected on the glass surface. In this way, the photograph captures not only the showroom itself but also a small part of the busy city around it. What I like most about this picture is how it combines business, architecture, design, and everyday city life in a single frame. It reminds us that modern Dhaka is constantly evolving, with traditional streets and familiar urban scenes standing alongside new businesses and contemporary architectural styles. For me, taking this photograph was another small but memorable moment during my journey through the city. Sometimes an ordinary roadside building can become an interesting subject when we take the time to observe its design, surroundings, and character.

The photograph presents a beautiful view of the toll plaza area beneath a clear blue sky. The most striking feature is the large, curved steel structure covering the toll lanes. Its unique architectural design gives the place a modern and impressive appearance. The repeating white arches create an interesting pattern against the blue sky and make the structure stand out beautifully. The Jatrabari area is one of the important transportation points of Dhaka. Thousands of people travel through this part of the city every day for work, business, education, shopping, and various other purposes. The flyover and its surrounding roads play an important role in connecting different parts of Dhaka and managing the enormous movement of vehicles. Looking at this photograph, we can also see how closely transportation and urban development are connected. The toll plaza, road barriers, buildings, utility lines, and surrounding structures together create a typical picture of a busy metropolitan city. Behind the toll plaza, several residential and commercial buildings rise into the sky, showing the continuous growth and development of Dhaka. Another interesting element in the photograph is the colorful advertising displayed above the structure. These advertisements add a touch of color to the otherwise industrial-looking transportation infrastructure. The combination of the advertisements, steel arches, buildings, road, and blue sky creates a visually attractive urban composition. At the bottom of the photograph, a motorcycle rider can be seen traveling along the road. This small detail adds a sense of movement and everyday life to the image. It reminds us that these roads and structures are not simply pieces of infrastructure—they are part of the daily lives of thousands of people. For me, however, the most important part of this photograph is the memory behind it. I have probably passed many roads, bridges, and important structures throughout my life, but I may not always have stopped to capture them. This time, I decided to take a moment and preserve the view of the Jatrabari Flyover Toll Plaza through my camera.

This photograph captures the Kajla Foot Overbridge, surrounded by the busy and colorful everyday life of Dhaka. The bridge provides pedestrians with a safer way to cross the busy road, while the streets below remain filled with buses, CNGs, rickshaws, and people. The green directional signs on the bridge point toward important destinations such as Narsingdi, Sylhet, Chattogram, and Cox’s Bazar, showing how this area connects Dhaka with different parts of Bangladesh. What makes the photograph special is its lively atmosphere. The countless vehicles, pedestrians, colorful rickshaws, roadside advertisements, and buildings together create an authentic picture of urban Bangladesh.For me, this image is more than just a photograph of a footbridge. It is a small reflection of Dhaka’s movement, energy, transportation, and everyday life—a busy scene where thousands of people pass through with their own destinations and stories.
