Assalamu alaikum all my steemian friends

Hello friends, I hope everyone is doing well, Alhamdulillah, by God's grace I am also doing very well. After a long time, I managed to find some time away from the busyness of work and family life to come back to you all and share the beautiful moments of daily life.

A hot afternoon in the month of Bhadra. Outside, the sun is blazing, and a sweet, intoxicating aroma of ripe palm fruit wafts through the air. Walking down the village path, one can sense that preparations for a celebration are underway in a nearby kitchen.

In the courtyard, grandmother or grandmother has set up a chair. Thick, golden liquid is being squeezed out from the palm fruit. A dense batter is being made by mixing this palm juice with fragrant rice flour, grated coconut, and jaggery. Fresh green banana leaves are neatly arranged beside the oven.

A gentle charcoal fire is burning in the earthen oven. A layer of palm batter is spread on a beautiful banana leaf, covered with another leaf, and placed on a hot griddle. After a while, when the leaf starts to burn, a wonderfully beautiful scent fills the air. When the pancake is lifted, the familiar spiral lines and light scorch marks from the banana leaf remain on its surface.

With every bite of that hot pancake, there is a piece of rural Bengal's heritage, a mother's love, and the utmost tenderness of childhood. This taste is not just on the tongue; it is a pull towards our roots.
