Everyone has some hobby or another. Like everyone else, I have a few hobbies too. Among them, my absolute favorite is cooking. I love creating new dishes and enjoying them with my family and children.

My introduction to cooking dates back to my childhood. Back then, it wasn't a hobby; rather, it was something I had to do out of necessity. Times have changed, though—I no longer cook because I am forced to, but rather because I choose to prepare meals for my family and children. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they eat the food I’ve prepared fills my heart with joy.

Cooking is, without a doubt, a creative endeavor. It is a living art form: the ingredients are the colors, the spices are the melody, and the plate is a living canvas. A creative cook can transform ordinary food into something extraordinary through their talent, hard work, and love. Therefore, one could say that cooking is not merely a way to satisfy hunger; it is an ultimate medium for human creativity. Through cooking, one introduces novelty, balances flavors, and enhances the aesthetic appeal of the food—it is a complete expression of creativity.

My family consists of four members: myself, my wife, my son, and my daughter. While I cook occasionally as a hobby, the primary responsibility for cooking lies with my wife. For her, cooking is no longer just a hobby—it has become a duty.

I have two children; my daughter is the older one, and she occasionally cooks as a hobby. However, she hasn’t ventured into preparing main courses yet—her cooking is currently limited to desserts and appetizers.
As for my son, he is still too young to take up cooking as a hobby. That said, he is the biggest fan of my cooking!

Cooking certainly requires skill; without it, the food wouldn't be fit to eat. Preparing a dish involves various ingredients and spices, and without the necessary skill, it’s impossible to gauge the right quantities. Therefore, skill is essential in cooking.
It’s hard to say exactly how long it took me to learn, as I started cooking at a very young age. There were times when the quality was good, times when it was poor, and even instances where the food was completely inedible! I learned through trial and error—stumbling along the way.
I definitely learned the basics from others, though it’s been so long that I can’t recall the exact details. I picked up cooking tips from friends, older brothers, and classmates at various points.
However, I never took any formal courses or classes, nor did I seek professional guidance. Everything I know, I learned from the people around me.

I am busy making food

While it isn't necessarily an expensive hobby, preparing certain dishes can be quite costly. Ultimately, it depends on the type of food I choose to make. There are many delicious dishes that do not require significant expenditure; they can be prepared at a low cost. Conversely, there are other dishes that necessitate expensive ingredients, making their preparation quite costly.

My hobby is creating new dishes. So far, I have kept this hobby at home. However, I sometimes dream of opening a fast-food outlet featuring the food I create—a place serving a variety of tasteful dishes where customers can savor delicious meals. I look forward to seeing the look of satisfaction on their faces as they enjoy the food.

The primary obstacle to realizing my dream of opening a restaurant to share my culinary creations is a lack of capital. Launching a fast-food outlet requires a substantial amount of money, which I do not possess; thus, the dream remains just that—a dream. Furthermore, I struggle with some personal health issues; I tend to fall ill if I exert myself for long periods, so I must avoid sustained, strenuous work. This physical limitation is another reason why I am unable to open a fast-food business.
