The Diary Game | 02 November, 2026 | Today was a busy day, filled with various tasks.
Hello friends
How are you all? I hope you are all doing very well by the grace of God. I am also doing very well by your prayers. I am going to start today's new post by greeting and congratulating all the brothers and sisters of "Steem for Bangladesh" on my behalf. Friends, today I am here to share some highlights from the busiest moments of my day. I hope you will enjoy these wonderful moments.
Amidst the various hectic moments of life, the pumpkin flower brought a touch of joy. One of my students mentioned that these flowers can be fried or used to make fritters. When I spotted this beautiful flower while out and about, I was truly delighted and decided to take a photograph of it.
I stopped by a shop to buy some fruit. The shop was beautifully arranged, featuring a variety of fruits and biscuits. Compared to other markets, the fruits here looked much better, though they also seemed a bit more expensive. Although I didn’t end up buying any fruit, I did purchase various food items—including biscuits and parathas—for one of my favorite students. Consequently, I ended up spending quite a bit of time there to complete my shopping.
While buying some fresh vegetables, I noticed that cauliflowers had been arranged very neatly inside a sack on a vehicle. One thing I particularly appreciate is that vegetables we traditionally associate with the winter season are now appearing in the market even before winter arrives. In this regard, it is fair to say that the farmers in our country are highly proactive and forward-thinking.
I arrived at a computer room to get some school exam papers printed. The person you see in the photograph is a teacher; alongside his teaching work, he operates a computer setup that offers various services. We are currently preparing for our final examinations, and I had entrusted him with the task of printing the question papers. That is why I went to see him. Upon spotting me, he stretched—as if shaking off a moment of fatigue.
Having a school located right next to a main road creates a significant cause for concern regarding the students' safety. To make matters worse, piles of timber and large logs are often left along the roadside, and the students frequently sit on top of them. Fearing that an accident could occur at any moment, we urge them to be careful and head straight into the school premises. I captured this photograph just as they noticed me and quickly climbed down from the logs to head toward the school. I warned them that if I ever catch them sitting there again, I will inform their parents. Sometimes, we have to resort to such warnings to keep them under control and ensure their safety.
There are only three girls in the second-grade class. While there are many boys, the number of girls is just three. I noticed one of them decorating a beautiful cake for a friend’s birthday. Seeing her enthusiasm for decorating the cake brought me great joy. It made me realize just how profound the simple, tender affection in a young heart can be.
I occasionally visit our school garden, as it is my responsibility to oversee that it is being properly cared for. There is a gardener tasked with maintaining the garden, and it is the duty of a few teachers—myself included—to ensure that he is performing his work correctly. Consequently, I visit from time to time to check on the condition of the various flowering plants. At the same time, I enjoy these beautiful flowers by capturing them through photography.
I stopped by a shop to purchase some fish feed. This shop sells high-quality fish feed, which is much richer in protein compared to other options. Feeding this to the fish helps them grow rapidly, so I always make sure to keep a good supply on hand. Today, I visited the shopkeeper to discuss which specific types and sizes of feed would be best, given the size of the fish currently in my pond. I ended up spending quite a bit of time there, going over the details.
The incidence of various types of accidents has increased in Bangladesh. It is not uncommon to see reports in the news about accidents occurring under otherwise normal circumstances. For instance, while traveling, I once observed a truck being unloaded at a warehouse; the vehicle occupied half the width of the road and remained in that position for an entire hour. It struck me that such a situation could easily lead to an accident at any moment. Therefore, I believe it is essential for all of us to remain vigilant and aware regarding such matters.
Today, we had to put up a banner near our school for new-year admissions. In preparation for the new year, schools everywhere are taking similar steps to attract and enroll new students. Since students from ten different villages attend our school, our efforts are aimed at further increasing our total student enrollment.
Our school held its monthly parent-teacher meeting today. I used to conduct these events in the past, but I no longer do so due to my current responsibilities related to media-related tasks. Nevertheless, I managed to take quite a few photographs during the event. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the students' performances, and the other teachers were equally delighted—two of our teachers even sang! Additionally, the results of the monthly tutorial examinations were announced. Many students were happy with their results, and the parents were also very pleased to see how their children had performed.
After a long, busy day, I sat by the edge of a pond for five minutes to shake off some of my fatigue. The area is filled with numerous ponds and plenty of trees. What makes it even more special is that my friend and I used to spend time here quite often—though, unfortunately, we no longer get the chance to do so. As far as I recall, we began coming here back in 2012, often sitting together for a while in the evenings. Looking back, I realize we spent many years here, sharing countless joyful moments. Now, however, we rarely make it back; both of us have our own families and households to look after. Sitting there for those five brief minutes, I found myself lost in thought—and just like that, the weariness of the entire day vanished in an instant.
