The Diary Game | 18 October, 2026 | Today was a busy day, filled with fish, plants, and students.
Hello friends
How are you all? I hope you are all doing very well by the grace of God. I am also doing very well by your prayers. I am going to start today's new post by greeting and congratulating all the brothers and sisters of "Steem for Bangladesh" on my behalf. I am going to share the wonderful experiences I had throughout the day with my friends. I hope you will truly enjoy hearing about these lovely experiences.
The day began on a delightful note. Like every other day, I woke up and headed to the edge of the pond. A large number of egrets and water birds had gathered there, catching and eating the fish that surfaced. To protect the fish in the pond, I have to keep a stick in my hand to shoo the birds away. I was capturing the busy, lively atmosphere of that very moment through my photography.
Just as I was leaving the pond to head home, I noticed some beautiful flowers blooming nearby. I had first seen these flowers three years ago while wandering around the campus of Jahangirnagar University in Dhaka. At the time, I realized that this type of plant was not typically found in my own area. However, a year later, I noticed that a single plant had appeared—seemingly out of nowhere—by the edge of our pond. I haven’t seen this plant anywhere else in my neighborhood. In any case, seeing these lovely flowers in bloom, I immediately took some photographs.
Then, around eight in the morning, I headed out to give private tuitions at a location three kilometers from my home—very close to my school—where I have been conducting such sessions for a long time. As the session concluded, I noticed two of my former students, whom I hold dear, sitting together and chatting. I captured this beautiful moment on camera, preserving it as a cherished memory in my collection.
I have moved from my previous home to a new place across the street. No new trees have been planted there yet. Today, while I was at home, a vendor selling mango trees arrived. I had been planning for a few days to buy some mango saplings to plant at my new home. As it turned out, I was able to purchase two of them—both were Himsagar mango trees—for a total price of 160 taka.
The day was filled with various busy moments. Once everything else was wrapped up, I headed to a neighboring village in the late afternoon for another private tutoring session. The student’s name is Aryan; he is in the fifth grade. I tutor him privately, for which I charge a monthly fee of 4,000. He is an excellent student—despite being only in the fifth grade, he has already learned a great deal about tenses. He has made significant progress in English grammar, and his parents are very pleased.
This afternoon, I spent some time by my brother-in-law’s pond. He was feeding the fish; his Pangas (catfish) have grown quite large, so he asked for my advice on how many kilograms of feed he should provide. I stood there by the pond and offered him my suggestions.
After a busy day, the time finally came to plant the mango sapling. So, in the evening, I quickly dug the soil to plant the mango tree.
After digging the soil, I positioned the mango tree accordingly. Then, I secured it to a stake to prevent it from falling over. Following this, I watered the area around the tree. With that, my activities for the day were complete.
