A Discovery

I found this pumpkin here among the nettles and grass. So I'll be making some pumpkin puree soup and a Halloween pie.

Actually, we were cleaning up the vegetable garden. Just a little. We bought a composter (no photos—maybe later)—one of those multi-tiered plastic ones. We used to have a wooden one, but it rotted away over time. So we just set it up (it holds 1,300 liters) and filled it right away. And there’s still a lot of plant debris and trash left over from everything.

I tried to prune the rose bushes—I pricked my hands all over.
The process isn't finished yet)

I also moved the peonies to a different spot, and I want to move the hydrangeas, too. They're not doing well where they're growing now.
