Evangelism: Sharing the Good News of Christ

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." — Matthew 28:19

Hello, fellow Steemians!

Today, I want to share my experience during an evangelism outreach that I participated in with other believers in my Section. It was a joyful and fulfilling moment as we gathered together to spread the message of God's love to people in our community. I am a proud Assemblies of God member, AG for life. AG(All Gospel).

Evangelism is one of the greatest assignments Jesus gave to every Christian, and I am grateful to have been part of this outreach.

We assembled at a strategic location along a busy roadside where many people pass every day. Equipped with a portable speaker, microphones, and a heart full of passion for Christ, we began with worship songs that attracted the attention of passersby. Soon after, the Word of God was preached with boldness, reminding everyone that salvation is available through Jesus Christ.

As we shared the Gospel, people from different backgrounds stopped to listen. Some stood quietly, others nodded in agreement, while a few asked questions about the Christian faith. It was encouraging to see children, youths, and adults paying attention to the message. Moments like these remind us that many people are searching for hope, peace, and purpose, and only Christ can truly satisfy the human heart.

One lesson I learned from this outreach is that evangelism is not only about speaking through a microphone. It is also about showing kindness, love, patience, and humility. Sometimes, a warm smile, a gentle conversation, or a simple word of encouragement can open someone's heart to receive the Gospel. Every believer has a role to play in sharing God's love, whether by preaching publicly, praying for others, or supporting those who go into the mission field.

I also realized that we should never become discouraged if we do not immediately see visible results. God's Word is like a seed planted in the hearts of people. Some seeds grow quickly, while others take time before producing fruit. Our responsibility is to faithfully share the message, while God brings the increase in His own perfect time.

This outreach strengthened my faith and reminded me that every opportunity to share Christ is a privilege. It encouraged me to remain committed to living a life that reflects the love of Jesus both in words and in actions. My prayer is that everyone who heard the message today will experience God's grace, come to know Christ personally, and grow in their relationship with Him.

As Christians, let us never grow tired of spreading the Good News. The world needs hope, and we have been entrusted with the greatest message ever given to mankind—the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
