in Steem For Drawing8 days ago
Glad to share this piece with you again. I hope you are all doing well, as I am. My drawing today focuses on beauty and emotion, and I am sure that you all will like it.

It's a pencil portrait of a beautiful lady with an afro hairstyle, with one of her hands on her cheek. Below are the details of the drawing:

Materials for the drawing

  • Embossed paper
  • H pencil
  • 2B pencil
  • 4B pencil
  • Charcoal pencil
  • Brush
  • Eraser
  • Blade

Step 1
I began by drawing the left eye, followed by the right eye, and concluded the step with the nose. I used an H pencil to keep the line a little bit lighter.

Step 2
I drew the mouth of the lady and sketched the frame of her face. Lastly, I drew her left hand, which she used to support her cheek. I used an H pencil at this step.

Step 3
I sketched the top level of the hair on her head. I then drew the neck, shoulders, and her hands. I also drew the Collar of her T-shirt and the sleeve using an H pencil.

Step 4
Here, I shaded the hair on her head using a 4B pencil and made it look coiled.

Step 5
I darkened the hair on the head with charcoal pencil powder to keep it darker. I shaded the eyes, beginning with the left eye. I shaded the pupil, followed by the iris and the eyeball. I also shaded the eyelid, eyelashes and the eyebrow. I slightly shaded the forehead with a 2B pencil and then blended with a brush.

Step 6
I shaded the nose, the mouth and the neck with a 2B pencil. I then blended it with a brush.

Step 7
I shaded the lady's hands and blended them with a brush. I then darkened the background a little bit to distinguish her white T-shirt from the background. Lastly, I wrote my name on the paper.

Thank you for being supportive.
