Greetings, dear friends! Today, I'm sharing a beautiful portrait of a man with an afro hairstyle. I am convinced you can follow the same process to create your own drawing.

Materials for drawing

• HB pencil
• 2B Pencil
• 4B pencil
• 10B Pencil
• Charcoal pencil
• Brush
• Eraser
• Sharpener.

Step 1
I used an HB pencil to first sketch the eyelashes of the right eye. I then sketched the nose and the eyebrow. I lastly sketched the forehead, part of the cheek, and the left eye, which is closed.

Step 2
I sketched the left eyebrow and the mouth. I also extended the sketch from the cheek down to the lower jaw.

Step 3
I sketched the hairline on the forehead, sketched the left ear and shaded the moustache and beard.

Step 4
I sketched the hair on his head using a 2B pencil by drawing wavy lines from the scalp.

Step 5
I used a brush and pencil powder to darken the afro hair on his head.

Step 6
I shaded the face of the man using a 2B pencil and blended it using a brush. I also darkened the eyelashes, eyebrows and the nostrils using a 4B pencil. Lastly, in this step, I shaded the ear.

Step 7
I shaded the lips of the man and blended them with a brush. I also shaded the beard, moustache, and the area below the lower lip.

Step 8
I drew the neck of the man, the neck of his T-shirt and shaded it. I darkened the hair on the head using charcoal powder and blended it with a brush. I then blended the shading on the face using a brush and cotton wool.
I concluded by writing my name and date on the paper.
