Tea Stall Review // "JURAIN CHA er ADDA"

Today I'm going to review a small tea stall called JURAIN CHA er ADDA, which has become a part of my daily morning.

Every morning, while going to my office, I pass through Jurain Rail Gate. Right in front of Bikrampur Plaza, under the Mayor hanif Flyover, there is a small tea stall called “JURAIN CHA er ADDA”. It looks like a simple roadside tea stall. Somehow it becomes a familiar part of daily journey to work.

The stall has a surprisingly good variety of tea. It offers Special Colorful Tea, Special Masala Tea, Cocktail Tea, Special Lemon Tea, Special Marlboro Tea, Special Raw Lemon Tea, Masala Green Tea, & Green Tea. One thing I like is that, all this varieties are generally available whenever the stall is open, so customers have plenty of choice.

Price

Apart from tea, they also keep some simple snacks such as biscuits, cakes, bananas & drinking water. Different cigarette brands are also available too, including Benson, Gold Leaf, Camel, Lucky, Royal etc….

The stall itself quietly small, but compared with many other roadside tea stalls, I find it relatively clean & well maintained. Another good thing is that the prices of all the tea items are displayed clearly on the wall, so there is no confusion about the price before ordering. The owner is also very polite & friendly, which makes the stall more friendly for the customer.

Now comes to the most important part of the stall, which is taste. For almost three months, I’ve been regularly stopping there during my office journey. During this time, I’ve tired almost every type of tea available at the stall. After trying all of them, I’ve developed my own favorites, Special Raw Lemon Tea & Special Lemon Tea. These two are the ones I usually go back to.

There is something simple but enjoyable about standing under the flyover in the morning, having a hot cup of lemon tea & a cigarette before continuing my journey to the office. The surrounding traffic, the sound of vehicles passing by, the railway gate nearby, & the busy morning atmosphere all become part of little tea break.

It’s not a fancy café, & it doesn’t try to be one. It is just a small roadside tea stall with a good variety of tea, reasonable organization, a polite owner & a familiar atmosphere.
