My Kitchen, My Recipe, My Story: week-3 (Chicken Noodle Pepper Soup)
Warm greetings and love to all my fellow Steemians. I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.
Today, I am excited to share another recipe with you as part of the “My Kitchen, My Recipe, My Story” Week-3 Recipe Contest. This time, I decided to prepare something a little different from the regular way I eat noodles.
Noodles are one of those foods that are quick and easy to prepare, especially when you want something delicious without spending too much time in the kitchen. But I wanted to give mine a different taste and make it more exciting, so I decided to combine noodles with chicken pepper soup. The result was a spicy, flavorful and filling bowl of Chicken Noodle Pepper Soup, topped with chicken and boiled eggs. It was one of those meals that made me enjoy the cooking process as much as the eating.
For this recipe, I used:
Instant noodles
Chicken
Onion
Fresh pepper
Ginger
Pepper soup seasoning
Seasoning cubes/powder
Salt (very little quantity)
Water
Fresh green herbs
Eggs
I adjusted the quantity of each ingredient according to the amount of food I wanted to prepare.
PREPARING THE CHICKEN
I started by putting the washed chicken pieces into a pot. I added chopped onions, ginger, pepper and my seasonings. I made sure the chicken was properly seasoned before placing it on fire. This was important because I wanted the chicken itself to absorb the flavours and not just depend on the soup.
ADDING MY PEPPER SOUP SEASONING
After allowing the chicken to cook with the initial seasonings, I added my pepper soup seasoning.
This is what helped give the broth that distinct pepper soup flavour and aroma. I also allowed everything to cook together so the spices could properly enter the chicken and the stock.

ALLOWING THE CHICKEN TO COOK
At this stage, the chicken was already cooking nicely in the seasoned broth. I allowed it to continue cooking until the chicken became tender and the flavours had developed properly. The aroma from the pepper soup seasoning and ginger was already filling the kitchen.
PREPARING THE NOODLES
While the chicken pepper soup was cooking, I prepared my noodles. I used three packs of chicken-flavoured instant noodles. Instead of preparing them separately as ordinary noodles, I wanted them to become part of the pepper soup. After parboiling and sieving the noodles, I cooked them with the flavourful broth. This is what made the recipe different from the regular noodles I would normally prepare.
ADDING MY FINISHING TOUCHES
I allowed the noodles to cook properly in the flavorful chicken pepper soup. I then added the fresh green herbs and made sure everything was well combined. I also prepared boiled eggs to serve with the meal. The eggs added another texture to the dish and made the final presentation more attractive.
Finally, my Chicken Noodle Pepper Soup was ready.
I served the noodles together with generous pieces of chicken and two boiled egg halves. The combination of the spicy broth, noodles, tender chicken, fresh herbs and eggs made the meal both satisfying and delicious.
MY LITTLE STORY BEHIND THIS RECIPE
I chose this recipe because I wanted to do something different with noodles. Sometimes, we get used to preparing familiar foods in the same way, but cooking gives us the freedom to experiment. I love the fact that a simple packet of noodles can become something completely different when you add your own ideas. Instead of just making ordinary noodles, I decided to give mine a pepper soup twist and make it richer with chicken and eggs. For me, that is one of the beautiful things about cooking. You can take something simple and turn it into something that feels special.
This recipe reminded me that you don't always need complicated ingredients to prepare an interesting meal. Sometimes, a little creativity in the kitchen is enough.
My Chicken Noodle Pepper Soup came out spicy, flavorful and filling, and I really enjoyed putting everything together. I would definitely prepare it again, perhaps with a few more variations the next time. Thank you so much for stopping by my kitchen and following me through this recipe.
Have you ever tried combining noodles with pepper soup before? What unusual way do you enjoy preparing your noodles?

Hola, amiga!
Me encantó tu receta.
Saludos.

I love how you turned a classic pepper soup into a hearty noodle dish—did the instant noodles absorb the pepper soup seasoning or did you add extra spices afterward? Your use of boiled eggs as a topping sounds like a clever protein boost that keeps the meal both filling and balanced 🌶️🍜🥚
The instant noodles absorbed the seasoning, making it more tasty
It really is a clever protein
