Diary Game // 4.11.2026 //Going home on a holiday and some moments at my father's house
Dear Steemit friends, I am Ani Chowdhury from Bangladesh. Assalamu Alaikum, how is everyone? I hope you are all doing well by Allah's mercy. Today I will share my experience of going home during the Durga Puja holiday and some moments at my father's house.
Since I was going home, I did not cook much, just made light dishes - khichuri, fried eggs, and bhorta. After finishing lunch, we set off between 2 and 2:30 PM. The moment of going home was very joyful; the children were very happy to be going to their grandmother's house during school break. After an hour of travel, we stopped at a gas pump. While filling up gas, I got out of the car and took a photo of my siblings. After filling up the gas, we continued our journey.
After two hours of travel, we stopped at another gas pump. We filled up gas and sat at a hotel nearby. The hotel was on one side of the pump and was known as the Old Chandu Hotel in Comilla, now renamed Bin Rajjak. The food and environment at that hotel were very nice.
We got ready to eat after freshening up. First, we ordered khepsa, and after waiting for 20 minutes, it was ready with salad and tomato juice. We all enjoyed eating from the same dish. Then we ordered tea and naan. I really like having tea with naan. After finishing our meal, we resumed our journey home. It was already getting dark.
At night, upon reaching home, I freshened up, had a light meal, and went to bed. In the morning, I went to the roof of my father's house and took some pictures of flowers and fruit trees. The weather in the village was cool in the morning; it felt like winter was gradually setting in, and the beautiful and serene environment felt very nice. It had been a long time since I had visited my father's house. Girls grow up laughing and playing at their father's house before marriage, and after marriage, they become guests in that house. Thank you all for reading about this moment that I cherished. I hope you enjoyed it. I am very happy to be a part of this.
