I’d rather chat with you for 3 hours than meet you for 10 minutes

This is crazy but it's true, people think I'm rude when I cancel invites but I'm not, I understand their feelings and honestly I can't help myself

Someone will invite me out and my first thought is "YES"

Then 10 minutes later, my second thought is but "What will i wear? What if I don’t know what to say? What if it’s too loud? What if I want to leave early but it looks rude?"

And just like that.. I stay at home

The thought of wearing my clothes, leaving my house, greeting people... it feels like climbing a mountain in slippers.

Within me, I want to go. I really do. I miss my friends. I want the memories.

But my physical body refuses. It gets heavy. Tired. Anxious. So I type, “Sorry guys, something came up 😁”

And then I sit in my room and chat with them instead. Because typing doesn’t need me to dress up. Typing lets me think before I talk.Typing feels safe.

Is this weird? I used to think I was the only one. But lately I’m realizing, some of us connect better through words on a screen than words face-to-face.

We’re not antisocial. We’re just... wired differently.
So if I’ve ever cancelled on you last minute, please know, It wasn’t you. It was the battle happening inside me.

Thanks for reading, so tell me, Are you team "Meet in person" or team "Let’s just chat"?
Be honest. I won’t judge 😂
