Greetings to everyone in the Steem For Lifestyle community!

I am happy to participate in this week's All in One Challenge organized by our dear admin, @max-pro. A special greeting to the host and everyone in this wonderful community. Today, I will be sharing how I spent my day, including some of the little activities I carried out at home and the time I spent helping my grandmother.

༻MY ACTIVITIES༻

Washing Clothes

My brother and I washing our clothes that morning.

My day started with some housework. I had some dirty clothes to wash, including my brother's clothes, so I decided to take care of them that morning. My brother also joined me. While I was busy washing the clothes, he helped me by rinsing them with clean water. This made the work a little easier because we were doing it together.

We continued until we finished washing everything. Although washing clothes by hand can be tiring, we managed to get the work done.

Enjoying My Meal.

After finishing the laundry, my mother served us food. I was already hungry, so I gladly welcomed the food. As you can see in my pictures, I had white rice with stew and some chicken meat.

My food for the day, white rice with stew and chicken, together with my water.

The chicken was from a fowl we killed that morning. Honestly, the meat was plenty, and I really enjoyed eating it. I took my food with water, and the taste was something I appreciated. I even found it difficult to finish everything at once because the portion was quite much, but I managed to finish my meal.

After eating, I decided to rest for a little while because I had already done some work that morning.

Visiting My Grandmother to Fetch Water

After resting, I received a call from my grandmother asking me to come and help her fetch water. I quickly got ready and went to her place. When I arrived, she explained where I could get water and personally directed me to the first place.

On my way to help my grandmother and the water-fetching point we first visited.

Unfortunately, when we got there, we were told that they had already closed for the morning and that we should come back in the evening. I tried to beg the person in charge several times, hoping he would allow me to fetch some water, but he refused. He was not ready to change his mind, so my grandmother asked us to leave.

We then decided to try another place around umukama road, that was where I finally got the water.

When I got to the second place, I started fetching water with a small rubber of about 20 litres. I had to make several trips, moving back and forth until my grandmother's gallon was completely filled. Believe me, I fetched water about eight good times before the gallon could fill up! It was not an easy task, especially because I had to carry the water from the fetching point to my grandma's house and to where the gallon was kept.

I was already feeling the stress, but I knew I had to finish what I came to do.

The water was also not free. I had to negotiate with the people there before I could get it for ₦300. After going back and forth with the discussion, we finally agreed on the amount.

After my grandmother showed me the place, she returned home to continue preparing her food while I concentrated on fetching the water. By the time I finished filling the gallon, she had also finished cooking.

My Grandmother's Special Rice

One thing I really enjoyed during the visit was the food my grandmother prepared. She cooked a very delicious pot of rice, and the taste was quite different from what I normally eat.

She used stockfish and a dry fish called Mangala in Igbo to prepare it. Normally, these are fish we often use when preparing soup, but my grandmother decided to use them for the rice.

I don't know how she managed to bring out such a lovely taste, but the rice was really delicious. Anyone who has eaten food prepared by their grandmother will understand what I mean.

I also took a picture of her while she was in her room, but she does not really like taking pictures. She is always shy whenever someone wants to photograph her, so I had to take the picture quietly. I was enjoying the moment and also wanted to check something on my Steemit blog. Unfortunately, while I was doing that, my phone suddenly went off because the battery had become low. After eating, I still helped my grandmother with a few things around the house. I swept the house and attended to some other little activities before preparing to leave.

Buying Fuel for Our Church's Tarry Night Service

After leaving my grandmother's place, I returned home and later went to the filling station to buy fuel for our church's Tarry Night service.

We normally hold this service every last Friday of the month, and since yesterday was the last Friday, we had to make preparations for the service.

I collected the gallon from the church and headed to the filling station. The price of fuel in my area was ₦1,300 per litre, and I bought fuel worth ₦10,000.

When I calculated the amount, it was approximately 7.69 litres of fuel.

Fuel is quite expensive these days, but it was something we needed for the church service, so I went ahead and bought it.

That was how I spent my day. From washing clothes with my brother, enjoying my mother's food, helping my grandmother fetch water, eating her delicious rice, and finally buying fuel for our church service, the day was filled with different activities.

I was tired at some point, especially after making those eight trips to fetch water, but I was also happy that I could help my family and contribute to the preparations for our church service.

Thank you so much for reading about my day. I appreciate @max-pro for organising this wonderful challenge and giving us another opportunity to share our daily experiences.

I wish all participants the very best.
