O Pocket First Park, Modipuram India

Hello friends, I have selected a hidden park in my locality which has been here for a long time but discovered it accidentally. Today I had a plan to go to a regional area for a bike ride but on my way to the area I passed through T Point In Pallavpuram and discovered this park. I feel selecting a place for travel need not be a famous place but it should provide all the necessary facilities and most of all the magic which keeps you glued.

I feel travel is not all about going to famous or most visited places but one can find good travel places in their neighborhood . Yes you read me right, travel isn’t only about famous destinations but some of such travel journeys are close to home, the places you overlook or never even thought about.

These could be anywhere, maybe a nearby towns or a village in the back of your society or maybe a hidden corner which can offer an experience worth its value. The best part is you do not have to spend much or you don't face crowds and of course the stress of popular tourist spots.

A short trip to a local park you haven't visited before is as good as a heritage site for a escape. Some of these places have hidden surprises as well.

For instance I visited a park in my colony I didn't even know it existed which is only 200 meters away from my house in the backside which has all fitness equipment installed by GAIL.

My experience was a perfect example of how travel can begin right at our doorstep. Many of us live near hidden placs for example this park, or the trail you see in the video, without even realizing they exist.

This park just 200 meters from my house, with fitness equipment installed by GAIL (Gas Authority of India LTD.) shows how much we can miss in our daily routine. We mostly focus on distant destinations while ignoring the places right behind our homes. Such places can become personal retreats for walking, cycling, stretching, or simply sitting and observing nature.

I personally feel when we visit with a traveler’s mindset, even a small colony park feels new since I hadn't ever visited this park before.

Can you notice the beautiful trees, the layout, the equipment and the time of day in a cloudy morning when it’s most lively. I am glad I found it and from now I'll try different equipment.

I can track my steps, or just bike around but I have sure discovered a quiet corner for sitting quitely on these benches, or this path ideal for my Nordic walking.

I suggest we guys should make it a routine to explore one unknown spot in your neighborhood once in a while. I am sure these small discoveries add up to a rich map of personal travel experiences which are not only close to home, but save money and as rewarding as famous places.

Let me add some benefits of local travel destinations, affordable and short distances mean lower travel costs, making it easier to take breaks as and when you wish.

These are less crowded so you can enjoy peace, quiet, and fun and of course repeated visits. I have come up with couple of newer ideas for future, less long-distance travel which will reduce my expenses, and carbon footprint.

I'll visit a nearby market, a small temple or church, mosque because I travel for watching the beauty because travel, is about curiosity and discovery. I am glad my neighborhood is full with such places so my every short trip is going to be a meaningful journey.
