Steemit Challenge Season 34 - Week 6 : Question 1 : How Does Your Garden Grow

Today, I will answer the first question of Week 06 of the Steemit Challenge 34. Gardening has been a hobby of mine since childhood. Through this challenge, I will share with you some parts of the garden I have created. I hope everyone enjoys reading this.

Yes, I have a garden. I established three gardens about six months ago, planting a variety of fruit, flower, and vegetable plants in them. During my spare time on weekends, I personally care for the plants—watering and tending to them as needed. The lush greenery brings me joy and offers a chance to stay close to nature. I plan to expand the gardens in the future; there is great happiness in planting trees myself and watching them grow.

I work as an electrical engineer in Dhaka. Due to my busy professional life, I cannot tend to my garden every day. However, every Friday—my weekly day off—I leave the hustle and bustle of Dhaka and travel about 100 kilometers to my village home. There, I look after the plants in my garden; I water them, clear away weeds, apply fertilizer as needed, and prune dry branches. I truly enjoy caring for the plants with my own hands. Spending time in the garden brings me mental peace and offers a chance to be close to nature. That is why I like to think of myself as an enthusiastic gardener.

I primarily cultivate various types of fruit trees in my garden. I share a special bond of affection and care with every single tree there. Currently, my garden is home to approximately 120 lemon trees, 500 banana plants, and 80 papaya trees, alongside a variety of other fruit-bearing trees. Beyond the harvest, the lush greenery of the garden brings me great joy.

In addition to fruit trees, I also grow some vegetables in the garden, primarily to meet my family's needs. I take pleasure in serving my family fresh vegetables grown right here; this practice not only reduces our grocery expenses but also gives me a unique sense of satisfaction in consuming produce I have cultivated myself.

There is also a pond next to the garden where I raise fish. With the fruit trees, vegetables, and the fish pond combined, my village homestead functions much like a small-scale agricultural project. Stepping away from my busy daily life to tend to the plants and fish brings me immense happiness. Spending time amidst nature is a major source of joy and mental peace for me.
Yes, given the growing risks surrounding global food production and food security, I am trying to cultivate more fruits and vegetables in my garden this year. My garden already features various fruit trees, including lemon, banana, and papaya. Alongside these, I grow a variety of vegetables to meet my family's needs. I intend to expand cultivation further in the future, as this will allow us to satisfy some of our demand for fresh produce directly from our own garden. I am also continuing to farm fish in the pond located next to the garden. To me, producing food on my own land is a source of joy.

Looking at the photos, it feels like another planet) Different trees, different grass, different greenery — please share more photos!! What is normal and everyday for you looks magical and amazing to someone from another part of the world.
When I was in school, people paid much more attention to farm animals and growing fruit. Today it's not as popular because you can buy everything in a store. People still grow things and keep animals, but much less than before.
It's autumn here now, so I'm going to plant a few trees too... 😁

In the first garden, I have planted lemon and papaya trees.
In the second, I have planted around 500 banana trees around my agro-farm; the trees look particularly beautiful surrounding the pond.
In the third garden, I have planted about a hundred banana trees. All in all, the total area of my gardens is likely over three acres. Work on my agro-farm is currently underway, with the civil construction in progress. I plan to visit the garden next Friday—my weekly day off—and will share plenty of photos with you then. Incidentally, my pond is stocked with various native fish species, and the fish have grown quite large.

It's glad to finally see your entry on the new challenge. Gardening for most people is a part of life and I can say that it's same for you, since it has been part of your life beginning from your early days as child and until today. Wow, your garden is really beautiful and organized, it seems that you just started recently about 6 months from creating your garden and it looks like it's been there for years, planting variety of things like vegetables, flowers and fruits is great for a productive and beautiful garden.
But what really amazed me in your garden was the presence the beautiful orchard of lemon and papaya, I feel that it looks really neat and in the right area for high yield and a bit less pest invading. Certainly there is no doubt that one finds joy in planting and seeing those plants drive most especially in harsh conditions, it reminds me of my family's cassava and yam plantation.
It seems that you're into deep into agriculture because, I find the banana plantation very exquisite, looking very good, I trust that the plants are thriving in such a nice environment. The presence of the fish pond nearby makes your garden even more spectacular, I'm really glad you shared such beautiful garden with us.
