Assalamu Alaikum, friends. I hope you are all doing well; by the grace of Allah, I am doing well too. @steemitblog has organized a contest today centered around pets kept at home. Many of us enjoy keeping various types of pet birds as a hobby; we cherish these pets and hold them dear. While some people prefer keeping animals, others prefer birds.

Personally, I keep birds at home; I have been raising pigeons for many years. I am very fond of pigeons, and I especially love the sound of their cooing. When I feed them in the morning, they get excited and eagerly crowd around me for the food. Sometimes, I even have a bit of fun with them while holding the feed in my hand.

The pet birds and animals we keep at home are very beneficial to us; the calls of birds, in particular, refresh our minds. In the morning, the gentle cooing of pigeons wakes us from our sleep, and hearing those sweet sounds brings a sense of peace. The squabs (baby pigeons) look absolutely adorable, and watching them gradually learn to fly is a truly delightful sight.

Occasionally, I cook and eat squab, as it is highly nutritious. It is also wonderful to watch the pigeons playing with one another. I enjoyed feeding my male and female pigeons together, and as a hobby, I have placed small rings on their legs.

I have a total of two pairs—meaning four pigeons—at my home. Among them, there are two males and two females. They live together. A shelter has been built for them slightly above the ground. There are separate containers for their food, as well as a separate plastic vessel for drinking water and bathing.

The male and female pigeons always share the same shelter. Occasionally, one male pigeon fights with another. Sometimes, I scatter wheat in front of my house for them to eat; I even recorded a short video while they were feeding.

Keeping pet birds is a hobby of mine; I raise them out of a genuine passion. Like many others who keep pets, I always prioritize their care and administer medication to ensure they remain healthy and free from illness; their well-being is paramount. I make a constant effort to keep my pigeons clean, providing them with plenty of water for bathing and administering monthly medication.

In the morning, when they leave their coop, they fly straight to me in front of the house for food. They are playful and often land right on my hand, though they are usually too timid to eat from my hand while inside the coop. I had scattered some food on the ground inside so I could take photos when they came close.

I have shared some moments featuring my pet birds with you all. Raising pigeons at home keeps the mind refreshed, and everyone enjoys their sweet cooing. This is a wonderful competition where we can see and learn about everyone's pets and birds.
