My creative journey to make beautiful clay dolls 🎨🌸

Peace be upon you friends! Today I am sharing with you my beautiful clay doll. My effort in making it was to make every part look clean, balanced and beautiful.

🌷 Steps to make

Step 1:

First make the head and upper body of the doll with light colored clay as per the first part of the picture.

Kept the head round and smooth, then made the upper body out of black clay and added the shape of the arms on either side.

Step 2:

In the next step, make a skirt-like shape for the lower body with black clay and attach it to the bottom of the upper body.

A small strip of light colored clay is placed in the middle to mark the proper space between the two parts of the body.

Step 3:

Now prepare the legs. Both the legs were given proper length by dividing the light colored clay into equal parts and attached them to the lower part of the body. Thus the main body of the doll came into full shape.

Step 4:

After that make tall boots from black clay on both the legs. Added a small detail of light color on the bottom of the boot, making the design of the shoes more clear and elegant.

Step 5:

The next step made the arms more defined and gave the hands a proper shape.

After that started making the hair with black clay and applied the base layer of hair around the head.

Step 6:

Now add more detail to the hair. Thin sections of black clay were twisted to form waves and braids and applied to both sides in order. The face was then smoothed out so that the eyes and other features could be easily drawn later.

Step 7:

Then completed the face. Using small amounts of clay and fine details, make eyes, eyebrows, nose and a smiling mouth. JUMP was written on the shirt in white and small black details were added for the hands.

Step 8:

The last step is to further decorate the skirt in the style of shorts, add small details to the waist area and add additional designs to the dress. Finally, the hair, face, hands, clothes and boots were re-checked to clean and balance all the parts, so the doll was finished in its perfect and beautiful form.

✨ My experience

During this work I had to pay the most attention to the small details and connecting the parts tightly. Special care was needed in creating the hair and face. When all the steps were completed and the doll took shape, I was very pleased with the result of my hard work.
