I hope everyone in the Steemit community is doing well and staying safe with their families.

Sometimes our regular office life becomes very monotonous. Sitting with files and computer screens for hours, along with the traffic, dust, and noise of Dhaka, can make us feel tired. At such a time, getting a chance to spend a couple of days somewhere peaceful feels really refreshing.

Recently, our office arranged a two-day official training program, and the venue was Fortis Downtown Resort in Badda, Dhaka. Before visiting this place, I honestly had no idea that such a peaceful and beautiful resort could be found within Dhaka city.

The training was official, but the experience felt like a short break from our usual routine. Today, I would like to share my experience of those two days.

1. Location and How to Get There

Fortis Downtown Resort is located in the Beraid area near Satarkul, Badda, Dhaka. One of the best things about this resort is its location. You do not need to travel far outside Dhaka to enjoy a resort environment.

From different parts of Dhaka, you can first reach Notun Bazar. From there, auto-rickshaws and regular rickshaws are available toward Beraid. You can simply tell the driver the name of the resort, and they can take you close to the entrance.

The location makes it convenient for people who want to arrange a day outing, family gathering, office program, or training session without leaving Dhaka.

2. A Peaceful and Natural Atmosphere

The area outside the resort has a rural and semi-urban feeling, but once you enter the resort, the surroundings feel completely different.

The resort is beautifully landscaped with green plants, trees, open spaces, and attractive walkways. What I liked most was the peaceful atmosphere.

Although the resort is inside Dhaka, the environment does not feel like the busy city. The noise and traffic of Dhaka seem far away once you are inside.

For an official training program, I found this environment very suitable because it helped me stay focused while also giving my mind a chance to relax during the breaks.

3. Large Open Field and Outdoor Activities

Another thing I really liked was the large green field inside the resort.

During the breaks from our training sessions, we participated in some outdoor team-building activities with our colleagues. Having such a large open space was really useful for these activities.

The green field also makes the resort attractive for families and groups. Children can have some open space to play, while adults can enjoy walking or spending time together.

4. Swimming Pool

The swimming pool was one of the main attractions for me.

It is quite large and surrounded by greenery and seating areas. The water looked clean and clear, and the overall poolside environment was very attractive.

After spending a full day in training sessions, some of us went swimming to relax. Spending some time in the pool was a great way to remove the tiredness of the day.

5. Training and Outdoor Technical Activities

The main purpose of our visit was the official training program. The resort had suitable facilities for conducting the sessions in a comfortable environment.

The training program also included an outdoor hands-on technical session where we had the opportunity to work with construction tools. This was different from simply sitting inside a training room and listening to presentations.

I found this practical part of the training interesting because we could learn while actually working with the equipment.

6. Food and Dining Experience

Food was also an important part of our two-day program. Arrangements were made for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.

I liked the overall food arrangement. There were different dishes available, including local food, meat, salads, desserts, and various other items.

The dining area was clean and well organized. I also enjoyed looking at the dessert section because there were several attractive items available.

7. Resort Interior and Seating Areas

The resort also has several comfortable seating spaces where guests can sit and spend some quiet time.

I particularly liked the combination of modern architecture and natural surroundings. The interior was clean and comfortable, while the outdoor areas provided a more open and relaxing feeling.

8. The Resort at Night

The resort looked even more beautiful after evening.

The lighting around the buildings and swimming pool created a completely different atmosphere compared to the daytime. It was peaceful and attractive, and I enjoyed taking some photographs during this time.

9. A Few Personal Moments

Besides the official training, I also enjoyed walking around the resort, exploring different areas, taking photographs, and spending time with colleagues.

These small moments made the two-day official tour feel more enjoyable.

My Personal Experience

This was not simply a training program for me. It was also a short break from the regular office routine.

Usually, office work means sitting with files, computers, and different responsibilities. Outside the office, Dhaka traffic, dust, and noise can make things even more tiring. So, getting the opportunity to spend two days in such a green and peaceful environment was refreshing.

The training gave us something to learn, while the swimming pool, open field, food, greenery, and outdoor activities gave us opportunities to relax.

I especially enjoyed the moments between the training sessions. Spending time with colleagues in an environment different from our normal workplace made the experience more enjoyable.

The resort combines a peaceful natural environment with modern facilities. The large swimming pool, green field, landscaped areas, comfortable seating spaces, dining facilities, and training arrangements make it suitable for different types of programs.

If you are looking for a place inside Dhaka for an office training, corporate event, family day-out, team-building program, or simply some relaxing time away from the usual city environment, this place can be an option worth considering.

For me, the best part was that I did not have to travel far from Dhaka to get this feeling of a short getaway.
