Restaurant Review | A Taste of Traditional Food at Munshiganj Restaurant & Sea Food House, Jamuna Future Park, Dhaka

Today, I am going to share my experience of visiting Munshiganj Restaurant & Sea Food House, located on Level 5 of Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka. Among the many restaurants in the food court, this one caught my attention because it offers traditional food at reasonable prices.
While exploring the food court, my friend and I visited several restaurants and checked their menus. However, we found that many of the food items were quite expensive.
As we continued walking, we came across Munshiganj Restaurant & Sea Food House. Its traditional food options and affordable prices immediately attracted us.
One interesting thing about this restaurant is that it does not really have a traditional menu card. Most of the food items are displayed in glass cases or arranged near the counter, making it easier for customers to see what is available. Let me share some moments from my visit.
The Restaurant and Seating Area

There is a separate dining area right in front of the restaurant, with several tables and chairs. I think it would be a nice place to sit and enjoy food with friends or family. Having a proper seating arrangement is especially helpful when visiting a busy shopping mall.

I also noticed that the restaurant accepts digital payments through bKash and Bangla QR. So, customers do not necessarily need to carry cash to make their payments. It's a great option for the customers.
Traditional Snacks on Display
One thing I liked about this restaurant was the variety of traditional snacks. Instead of choosing from a long menu, customers can simply look at the display and decide what they want to eat.
There were several familiar snacks available. Not everyone is used to eating modern or fancy food, and these options can also be quite expensive. Traditional food is therefore a great alternative. It is familiar, enjoyable, and often more affordable. I found it interesting to see these traditional items in a food court surrounded by modern restaurants.
What We Ordered
My friend and I first ordered puri and jilapi. Both tasted quite good, and we really enjoyed eating them. After finishing those, we decided to try some jhalmuri as well.

I enjoyed all the food we tried. Sometimes, simple traditional snacks can be more satisfying than expensive meals, especially when you are spending time with a friend. There were also several other snacks available at the restaurant.
Other Snacks
I did not note down the exact prices of the items we ordered. However, I can confidently say that the prices were not high compared to many other restaurants in the shopping mall. That was one of the main reasons I liked this place.
Free Drinking Water Facility

One thing worth mentioning is that you do not need to buy drinking water separately at this restaurant. There are several water-filled bottles placed in front of the kitchen, and customers can use this water for free.
The bottles are refilled when needed. However, if you are concerned about the safety of the water, you can always buy a sealed bottle of drinking water instead.
My Overall Experience
Overall, both my friend and I had a good experience at Munshiganj Restaurant & Sea Food House. The food tasted good, the prices seemed reasonable, and there was a nice seating area where customers could sit and enjoy their meals.
I also noticed a good number of customers visiting the restaurant. What I liked most was the availability of traditional Bangladeshi food in such a large shopping mall.
When many restaurants around you offer expensive dishes, finding familiar snacks like puri, jilapi, and jhalmuri at affordable prices feels really nice.
I believe places like this are a good option for people who want to enjoy simple, traditional food without spending too much. If I visit Jamuna Future Park again, I would be happy to stop by this restaurant.
Thank you for reading about my experience. I hope you enjoyed exploring this restaurant through my photographs.
