My Kitchen, My Recipe, My Story

Cooking is not just a means to satisfy hunger; to me, cooking is an expression of love, emotion, creativity, and bringing smiles to the faces of my loved ones. Every day, we need something to eat to satisfy our evening hunger, and my little princess Muntaha is always eager to make our evening adda (chats) even more lively. Today, my family's favorite snack items—a wonderful recipe for making Crispy Chicken Pakora along with a sweet family memory behind it.

Prepare Recipe

Ingredients & Quantity

In my opinion, the following ingredients are essential to make a perfect and crispy chicken pakora:

No.IngredientQuantity / Description
1Boneless ChickenCut into small pieces as needed
2FlourSufficient amount
3Egg1 piece
4Chopped Onion and Green ChiliesTo taste
5Ginger and Garlic Paste1 teaspoon each
6Soy Sauce and Tomato SauceAs needed for flavor and color
7Powdered SpicesTurmeric powder, chili powder, coriander-cumin powder, garam masala, and black pepper powder
8Salt and Soybean Oil for fryingAs required

Step-by-Step Cooking Process

Step 1: Chicken Marination
1000044692.jpg1000044693.jpg

First, I took the boneless chicken pieces cut into small sizes in a bowl, added sauce, lemon juice, and all the powdered spices, and mixed them well to marinate. For the spices to penetrate deep inside the meat, I felt it was necessary to cover and keep the chicken marinated for about twenty minutes, so I kept it covered for exactly twenty minutes.

Step 2: Preparing the Batter
1000044694.jpg1000044695.jpg

To the marinated chicken, I added flour, egg, chopped onions, and green chilies, mixing everything thoroughly by hand to form a thick batter. In my view, avoiding extra water and using only the natural juices of the onion and chicken makes the pakoras much crispier.

Step 3: Frying Process
1000044696.jpg1000044697.jpg1000044698.jpg

Placing a pan on the stove with a sufficient amount of soybean oil and heating it over medium heat, I began dropping small portions of the pakora mixture into the hot oil.

Step 4: Frying until golden and crispy
1000044699.jpg1000044700.jpg

I carefully turned the pakoras over while frying them on low heat, ensuring they cooked through without remaining raw inside and became evenly crispy on all sides.

Step 5: Final Serving

After frying, the oil is drained, and our desired crispy chicken pakoras are served piping hot on a nice plate, accompanied by sauce.

My Personal Memory and Why I Chose This Recipe

Every evening when it's time to step away from the study table, my daughter often insists on eating something crunchy. In my opinion, fulfilling such cute demands of children is one of the most beautiful parts of our daily lives. Today, on just such an evening, she demanded some crispy pakoras.

Interestingly, my wife had seen this recipe on YouTube a few days ago. Combining my wife's cooking technique with my own touch, I decided to make this snack at home myself. When I stand in the kitchen and prepare these recipes myself, I deeply realize how much hardship our mothers and sisters go through every day, preparing delicious food for us with endless patience and affection! I always praise and feel compelled to respect their unvoiced labor and love behind cooking. In my view, we should all appreciate this hard work. When I placed the plate of hot, freshly made pakoras on the table with my own hands, the joy and satisfaction I saw in my daughter's eyes was my greatest reward of the day. I am sharing this recipe today inspired by that story of family love and feeling. 😊

Conclusion

To me, cooking is not merely a way to satisfy hunger; it is a beautiful medium for bringing smiles to the faces of family members. There is a unique joy when those ordinary moments of satisfying everyday hunger transform into something special at the request of loved ones. Through my own cooking experiences, I have come to appreciate even more deeply the boundless patience and love that the mothers and sisters in our homes embody. I am truly delighted to share a heartwarming family moment and a story of gratitude with you all in today’s recipe contest.

I really enjoyed reading this post from beginning to end. The crispy chicken pakoras look absolutely delicious, especially the golden and crunchy texture. The recipe is also explained very clearly, so it feels quite easy to follow each step from marinating the chicken to preparing the batter and frying it perfectly. What I liked even more than the recipe was the beautiful family memory behind it. Your daughter asking for something crunchy in the evening and then enjoying the freshly prepared pakoras must have been such a happy moment for you. These simple family moments often become the sweetest memories.I also really liked the way you mentioned the hard work of mothers and sisters in the kitchen. We often enjoy homemade food without thinking about how much time, patience and love goes into preparing it. Cooking yourself can really make us understand and appreciate that effort more deeply.this is not just a recipe post but also a lovely combination of food, family, love and memories. Thank you for sharing such a warm experience with us.
Wishing you the very best in the contest!

Hi there, fellow foodie! I’m always drawn to small, appetizer-sized portions—you end up eating more that way. These look delicious and are always well-seasoned. Your daughter is lucky, and your wife even more so—having a husband who loves to cook and spoils her is wonderful.

Ese paso de marinar el pollo con soya y tomate suena a que le da ese color dorado que se ve en la portada. ¿Muntaha también mete mano en la cocina o solo da el veredicto final?
