My Favorite Pet | The Joy, Love and Heartbreaking Stories of My Cats

Many people have different beliefs about which pets are best, but my favorite is the cat. Cats can be kept in a very small space at home. They don't need much open space to live. The main reason I keep them at home is that it makes me happy to see their mischief. They have various habits that help us get out of a state of depression and into a state of happiness.

Keeping a cat at home brings blessings to your home. If you show kindness to an animal, Allah Almighty shows kindness to you. The second main reason is that keeping it at home keeps your home clean. There are usually houses where rats are constantly attacking. Since rats do not harm humans, but they definitely damage the things in the house, these cats are useful there because the rats are afraid of cats, and for this reason they do not set foot in that house.

I also keep a cat at home because it gets very close to its owner. It has a lot of love inside it. It cuddles with others and makes you feel its presence all the time. Moreover, it is a very clean animal. It keeps itself clean by licking itself. If you see that there is a little dirt on it, it will clean it after exactly two minutes. It likes cleanliness and does not create any kind of dirt. If it goes to the washroom, it will go to some place where there will be a deserted place with piles of dirt. Usually, a small box is kept in the house. It has to go there to relieve itself. There is no dirt anywhere in the house.

Now I want to tell you my stories about how I raised cats. The first of my stories is that there was a small kitten in my house. It was very beautiful. It was white in color, and its eyes were blue. It was with me because it had not opened its eyes. I took good care of it. It was very small. It was also cold. I protected it from the cold and made it so capable that it used to run after me.

We observe a behavior here where larger male cats kill smaller kittens. Something similar happened to me: one day, I went inside while the kitten was wandering outdoors. Suddenly, a large male cat attacked it, inflicting a wound on its neck that proved fatal. I was deeply saddened, as I loved the little one dearly, but there was nothing I could do.

God has been very kind to me. When one cat left, another came. This time, after the little one left, a big cat came to me and brought her three babies with her. They were very beautiful. They all looked just like their mother. Among them, three babies were very clever and used to hang around with their mother for 24 hours. But it so happened that none of them survived.

Something similar happened to them: one day their mother left home and did not return. We were very surprised when she did not return. A day passed, two days passed, and in this way many days and months passed. She did not return. And out of these three children, two died right before our eyes. Without any illness, they lost their lives only due to shock. One of them survived. He stayed with us for a long time and played with us. But finally, he also left home and did not return. Since the people around us catch cats and leave them somewhere in the desert, we did not find any of the three.

I usually raise my cat in such a way that whenever someone passes by our wall, or a cat is near our house, I make sounds to it. When I make sounds to it, it stays for a while. Then I give it some things to feed it for a while so that it eats and comes with me. In this way, for a couple of days, I feed it things outside. Then slowly its love for me increases, and then it comes to our house, and we keep it in the house, and then it becomes attached to us. Similarly, I took another cat from outside and gave it food for a while, and in a few days it became attached to me, and I brought it to my house.

This cat stayed with me for a long time, and since it was a female cat, it also gave birth to babies. It had three babies, which were very beautiful. One was brown, one was a little darker, and one was a little white. All three of them were beautiful. The mother herself took care of these three babies. We only gave milk to the mother, and these babies drank the mother's milk, and that's how they started growing.

These babies were very cute, but their cuteness was ruined in such a way that their mother picked them up and took them to another place. Since we have a tradition that cats do not keep their babies in one place, this cat picked up the babies from our house and went to the next house, picked them up from there, and then brought them back to us. In this way, during this time, one of the babies died on the way. It fell from above and died because the cat was looking for them on the walls, and it came out of its mouth, fell, and died.

Meanwhile, another child was injured. His leg was badly injured. Due to the injuries to his leg, he could not bear it, and he also died. But the cat also died in front of us because she had contracted a disease due to which she neither ate nor drank anything, but instead tried to stay in a cool place with water for a long time. We took her to the doctor, got her treated, and gave her medicine, but she died of hunger because she did not eat anything.

Finally, a child stayed with us for a long time, and he became attached to us and started loving us. We also took good care of him. He used to sit on the cot with us all the time. Wherever we went, he would sit next to us. Since he was alone and he wanted to have someone with me, he would sit next to us wherever we went. In this way, our attachment to him grew a lot, and he grew day by day.

He finally brought a lot of joy to our house because his habits were very artistic. Wherever he looked, he would lie down drunk. When he ate and drank, he would go wherever he found a soft place and lie down. His habit of sleeping was such that sometimes he would lie down with his legs on one side, sometimes on one side, sometimes on another side, which was a very artistic way, and we would laugh a lot when we saw him.

I also prepared a small box for him, lining it with soft bedding; since he loved sitting on soft surfaces, the box was perfect for him. Whenever he finished eating or wanted to rest, he would run straight to the box, curl up, and sleep there happily. If we bothered him while he was in the box, he would even swat at us, as if to say, "Don't disturb me; I want to sleep right now." In this way, he brought a lot of liveliness and joy to our home.

One day, it so happened that he contracted the same illness his mother had suffered from; she had died in the same manner, and he, too, began to deteriorate in the same way. He stopped eating and drinking. We tried to get him treated, but he could not be saved. It was winter at the time, and despite our best efforts to care for him, he eventually succumbed—largely due to his refusal to eat or drink. We were deeply saddened by his passing, as he was the one kitten that had stayed with us for a long time, and we had grown very attached to him; we shared so many memories, but ultimately, he too returned to God.

Similarly, we had another cat named Finley. This was the cat that did not cross the road but used to come to our house every day. One day we saw it, and it ran away from us out of fear. The next day we saw it again. Then on the third day, we gave it a piece of bread, and it calmed itself down. When it ate the piece of bread and ran away immediately after eating, it slowly started coming every day, and we also started giving it milk, which made its fear disappear, and it started staying with us.

This cat was very cute; it also played a lot with us. It was black in color and had brown eyes. It looked beautiful, but it had one disadvantage. It could not see us in the dark. It was a technical matter, but when we turned on the light in the dark, we could see where it was sitting by the light of its eyes.

One day, she also left the house and did not return because the people around us keep other birds in their houses, so they often catch the birds; to save the birds from this, they catch cats and release them somewhere far away. Similarly, they released her somewhere far away; we did not know at all, and then she did not return.

Now we don't have any cats, and I am trying to get a beautiful cat from somewhere, take good care of it, protect it from all kinds of diseases and disasters, and make sure it doesn't leave our house so that we can groom it properly.

If we look at the results of all the stories, we haven't had a cat in our house for more than a year. Whenever she would growl a lot, she would either get sick or she would leave the house and not come back. This made our hearts very sad. We were very sad about the cat, as we had a lot of difficulty taking care of it, and finally she couldn't stay with us.

These are the sad stories about all my cats that I shared with you, and I hope that I will find another beautiful, sweet cat and bring it home.

Thanks for Staying

Hello steemian.

We’re cut from the same cloth, my friend; I’m a huge animal lover—especially of cats. I have nine in total. It all started with one that had a special condition and couldn't walk; when he passed away—since his life expectancy with that condition made it inevitable—he left me with a heart wide open to loving them even more.

Two years have gone by, and now I have nine cats; they are the joy of my home—right after my two children, of course. I love how sweet, intelligent, and adorable they are; they’re the best companions I’ve ever had.

The best part is that I rescued them, so they’re even more grateful. It was a pleasure reading your post, and I’ll be getting my own entry ready soon.

All the best to you.

I am very sad to hear that the cat you raised could not walk and could not survive with you, and what is even more interesting is that after that you got nine cats, and you are taking care of nine more. This is a good habit with your children, in which you take care of animals, and these animals also return a lot of love and affection to us because when we take care of them all day long, they play with us, do various activities, do mischief, then we get rid of our depression.

I have also had many moments in which I have had the opportunity to take care of a cat. Once, my cousin brought a cat to me. He told me that it was very sick. So I took full care of it. I gave it medicine and arranged for its food. And so it started walking on its own, and then I returned it. I am very happy to do such activities. Thank you very much.

This is a full cat stories with different episode of living with you, no doubt you've had to train these cuties over a period of time.

I began to appreciate and love cat recently, I mean just of recent, it's an animal we dreaded while growing up and the reason is not far fetched, while growing up, we were made to believe it is a dangerous and diabolical animal simply because of it eyes especially when you encounter it in the dark.

I got to know later that cats are just like every other animal that deserve our love. So I understand you perfectly when you mentioned that you love this pet and like to have them around. I think it also justifies the reason why you keep having another one after each loss.

I really do not know why they keep falling sick to the point of death, nor the reason why they leave and not return, would you like to seek an expert opinion concerning it, so that you don't end up losing another cat to this same tragic occurrence...

Anyone who does not already own one often hears misconceptions about them; however, once they actually interact with a cat, they realize what an affectionate and loving animal it truly is. We should look past rumors and consider keeping them as pets, as they are wonderful companions that bond with you deeply. Best of all, simply watching them—and their various playful activities—can help alleviate mental stress and lift your spirits.

I am certainly trying to find out why they contract such a fatal illness; this is a crucial point I really want to understand. There are also cases where cats leave home and never return—perhaps because people catch them and drop them off far away, causing them to lose their way back. I intend to research both of these issues thoroughly so that I can keep future cats safe.

Good to see your response friend. You're right, holding a view that is baseless such as the one I've held for a long time concerning cats is actually wrong.

I never cared to understand why they are considered dangerous or diabolical. Interestingly, their eyes which seems to scare us back then is actually a unique feature given to them by God their maker. Knowledge is indeed light. Now I know better that they are very loving and friendly.

I'm glad you're now making a research on what you can do to combat the issues you've had with keeping cats in the past and I hope you find a lasting solution to the problem. Goodluck to you.

You ave a nice collection of cats' pics and for having them for some time even if they're not with you any more. I have lived in different countries where they pet cats and take care of them like family members but not in my present location.

Cats are pet but only in very high class society here otherwise they are considered a creature one needs to stay away so much so that even if they pass through the way, people avoid walking trough thaat road for a few minutes.

All said and done you have a nice story and good intention to raise a cat in future as I see nothing wrong with that, all the best.

Everyone has their own nature and approach to raising animals. Our way is to treat any animal we keep at home with great affection, regarding it as a member of the family—a practice shared by many others. However, there are those who view cats negatively; for instance, if a cat crosses their path as they leave the house, they fear something bad is about to happen. Such notions are entirely baseless myths. Instead of believing in them, one should welcome the cat as a family member; this allows you to provide better care for one of God's creatures and earn a great reward.

Reading your post, it feels like more than just a piece about pet cats; it is a collection of real-life stories filled with love, affection, joy, and loss. You have beautifully portrayed the bonds you formed with each cat and the care you provided them.

The stories of the cats that fell ill and passed away or went missing are truly heart-wrenching. Yet, the fact that you continued to love and care for cats shows the mark of a true animal lover. I hope you find a wonderful cat again in the future and create many more joyful memories together.

I have shared the stories of all my cats with you. The summary of all this is that they did not live with me, and I am now living alone in the house without a cat. It is a big effort to get it, take care of it, play with it, and spend quality time with it, because of it, there is prosperity in our house. We get to see different activities all day long. It is a clever and mischievous animal, and the most fun thing is that it can pass through even the smallest of spaces, so this makes us very happy.

It makes no difference to me how many cats I might end up with; I could easily look after any number of them. Although I don't have one right now, I am trying to find one so I can create another memory—these are all cherished moments.

Greetings, friend @ahsansharif

There is no doubt that cats make excellent pets and really help keep the house clean. As you rightly pointed out in your post, cats hunt mice; this used to be a major source of anxiety for me because my kitchen was overrun by rats, but once I got a cat, it took care of driving them away and killing them. In that sense, having a cat as a pet is a real advantage, even though my own pet is a little dog.

Best of luck.

I think a dog could also chase away rats, though I have no personal experience with that; however, I do have personal experience with cats. A cat simply will not tolerate a rat under any circumstances, and the rat itself flees upon seeing one. If it doesn't run away, the cat catches and eats it, thereby helping to keep the area clean.

In this way, we get real benefits from this pet. Many people look down on it, but if we look at its benefits, there are many.

Saludos.✨

Thank you very much for giving this good feedback. Cats are very easy for me to raise because they do not take up much space. They live in a small space and keep themselves clean. But I regret that I could not keep them for long. Many cats came to me, and they were separated from me after staying for a few years or a few months. I was also very sorry to hear that your pet was attacked by a big dog and was caught in a dangerous way, but still, thank God, he survived.

It is really difficult for us to see such moments when one of our pets gets attacked by another and gets injured. You should be thankful that it survived, but my little kitten could not survive because its wound was deep. If God wills, I will adopt another kitten or an older cat and take care of it.

Reading about your experiences with the cats truly saddened me. The love and compassion you showed towards them are evident in every detail of how you cared for them—whether it was your attempt to save that first tiny kitten or the way you looked after the older cats; your sense of responsibility shines through. In my opinion, stray cats are often prone to carrying various infectious diseases, and the lack of proper vaccination might be the reason why they fell ill and passed away one after another. Furthermore, the act of neighbors dumping the cats far away was incredibly cruel and heartbreaking. However, you demonstrated immense kindness by sheltering them and ensuring they received medical care and attention right up to their final moments. I hope that for the new cat you plan to adopt in the future, you will ensure it gets the necessary vaccinations from the start and keep it safe indoors, so you won't have to face such tragic situations again. Best of luck to you in this contest. 😊

Thank you very much for your feedback on my post. My heart is very soft when it comes to pets, especially cats, and I try my best to give them all the love and affection so that they are attracted to me. I take care of every shadow and sun of them. I give them good care. But when an animal is no longer with us after giving so much love, it is very sad. But still, thank God that I have had many cats come and go, but I kept myself strong and I hope that in the same way I will get another good cat and then I will take care of it.
