The Diary Game: 10th September, 2026 - My NYSC PPA Hunting Experience
Welcome to another edition of my diary. I hope you're all doing well.
After I was posted to a school in Kubwa, I started thinking about the distance and how stressful it would be to travel there every day. Because of this, I decided to look for a school that would be more convenient for me.
The process of finding a PPA has not been as easy as I expected. I have had to visit schools, make enquiries and explain that I am a corps member looking for a place to serve. Sometimes, you get a positive response, while other times, you are asked to come back another day.
Thankfully, I eventually found a school closer to where I stay that was willing to request for me. I got the request letter and submitted the necessary documents for my reposting. At the moment, I am waiting for everything to reflect on my NYSC portal.
This experience has taught me that sometimes things don't happen immediately, and you have to be patient and keep trying. It has also encouraged me to become more confident when speaking to people and asking for what I need.
NYSC is still a new experience for me, and I know there will be many more interesting moments, challenges and lessons along the way. I hope to keep documenting them here as part of my diary.
