The Diary GaME: 23/10/2026 CHILD BAPTISM - A DAY OF JOY AND GRACE

Hello beautiful Steemians, Welcome to my diary for today. Today is a special day for me and I am so excited to share it with you all.
I woke up and I quickly prepared for today's child baptism. My alarm rang by 5:30 AM and I jumped out of bed with so much energy. Today is not just any day, it's the baptism of my cousin's baby girl, little Amanda and I'm the latest God mother in town. I said my morning prayers, did my devotion, and rushed to the bathroom. I took a quick cold bath to wake up my body fully. You know that Enugu cold morning water that will reset your brain? That was it. After bathing, I went to my wardrobe. I ironed my Ankara gown fabric wear. I checked myself in the mirror twice - I must look good for my little princess's big day.

PREPARATION AND CHURCH By 7:15 AM, I was already on my way to the church. The St. Charles Catholic Church was already bubbling with people. The choir was rehearsing, ushers were arranging chairs, and parents with babies were everywhere. I met my cousin and his wife in the sacristy. The baby was looking so cute in her white baptismal gown. She was sleeping peacefully, not knowing she was about to become a child of God officially. We took some family pictures before the Mass started. The Mass started by 8:00 AM. The homily was powerful. The Priest spoke about raising children in the way of the Lord and the responsibility of godparents. I am the godfather, so I was listening with extra attention. I felt so honored and blessed. Then came the moment - the baptism proper. Water was poured, oil was applied, candle was lit. Little Amanda cried small when the water touched her head and the whole church laughed. At that moment, my eyes were full of tears of joy. She is now officially baptized!

AFTER CHURCH CELEBRATION

After the church, we all took a proper pictures with family and friends. It was a wonderful day to me and my little princess. I carried her all through why taking the pictures. I came back home by 4 PM, very tired but very fulfilled. I took a short nap, then woke up to write this diary for my Steemit family. It was a beautiful day. Thank you for reading.
