Lifestyle Diary Game: Week 1 [5th August 2026] — A Day of Prayer for Nigeria 🇳🇬🙏
Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of the diary game @realdoris1🌸
Today was a different kind of day for me. Unlike my usual routine, most of my day was centered around prayer, fasting, worship, and seeking God on behalf of my country, Nigeria. 🇳🇬🙏
🌅 My Morning Routine
My morning started with hope, although I woke up later than my usual time. After getting up, I joined my family for our morning prayers and devotion. It was a beautiful way to begin the day because it gave me the opportunity to thank God and commit the day into His hands.
After the prayers, I rested again for a little while. Meanwhile, my mum was already busy in the kitchen, taking care of the things that needed to be done. I coordinated my siblings, and together we did the household chores. Everyone had something to contribute, and we worked together to get things done.
You might be wondering, “Did you eat breakfast?” 😂
Well, the answer is NO! Today, I was fasting and praying specifically for my country, Nigeria. 🇳🇬
My prayer was simple but meaningful: I prayed for Nigeria to become a better place, for peace, progress, good leadership, opportunities for young people, and above all, for God to show our country mercy. 🙏❤️
🙏 A Day Spent in the House of Prayer
Around 10:00 a.m., I joined the fellowship where we worshipped God and spent time praying for Nigeria. The fellowship lasted until around 4:00 p.m., which means that most of my day was spent in the house of prayer. It was a long period, but I was grateful for the opportunity to spend those hours seeking God.
There is something special about gathering with other people to worship and pray. It reminds me that even when things seem difficult, there is always hope. We may not be able to solve every problem ourselves, but we can pray and trust God for guidance, mercy, and positive change.By the time we finished, I was already very hungry because of the fast. Thankfully, I was permitted to break my fast. 🙏
🍜 Breaking My Fast
After coming home, I went straight into the kitchen and prepared noodles for myself and my siblings. I was really hungry by then! 😂
We ate together, and the food was satisfying. Sometimes, after spending hours fasting, even a simple meal can feel incredibly special. It wasn't anything complicated, but I enjoyed it because it was exactly what I needed at that moment.
🌙 My Evening Routine
Around 6:00 p.m., we had our baths and prepared for the evening. I also helped out in the kitchen while dinner was being prepared.
After dinner, I took some time to relax and enjoy the fresh air. After such a long day of fasting, prayer, and activities around the house, I really needed that quiet moment to unwind.
Eventually, it was time to go to bed. 💤
❤️ My Reflection
Today reminded me that not every productive day has to be about work, money, or physical activities. Sometimes, productivity can mean taking time to pray, reflect, worship, and ask God for better things for ourselves and our country.
Nigeria has many challenges, but I believe that positive change is possible. My prayer is that God will continue to have mercy on Nigeria and guide the people and leaders of our nation toward a better future. 🇳🇬🙏
And with that, I ended my day grateful for the opportunity to pray, serve, worship, and spend time with my family.
Until my next diary entry, stay blessed and keep hoping for a better Nigeria. ❤️🇳🇬

May God hear our prayers
