Attending My Auntie’s Friend Wedding Ceremony on Sunday | A Memorable Sunday Outing
Hello Steem Kids and Parents Community!,
Greetings to everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. Today, I am so excited to share with you all the beautiful and memorable experience I had when I went to attend a wedding ceremony this past Sunday, November 1st, 2026. It was a really special day filled with joy, vibrant colors, and great company, and I can't wait to walk you through how everything went down.
Waiting for My Photographer Friend and Heading Out for the event.

The wedding was for a very special person, a guy named Laisbrey Iheasota, who is from Imo State, and his lovely wife, Grace, who is also from Imo State. Laisbrey is a very close childhood friend of my auntie. Even though my auntie is married now, they share a very close bond. Moreover, Laisbrey used to be a member of our church before, though he is now pastoring in another church recently. Because of this close relationship with my auntie, we made sure to go and celebrate with him on his big day.
For the outing, I decided to go along with one of my very good friends, Timothy, who is my go-to photographer. He is the one behind the scenes who always helps me take amazing pictures because he owns a really nice phone, an iPhone 12 Pro Max.
We agreed that he would meet me by 2:30 PM right after church service at the umunkama junction, off Ohanku Road. While waiting for him to arrive, I stood by the roadside and captured a few pictures of the surroundings, and I also managed to snap some pictures of myself waiting. Soon after, I saw him approaching, and I took a picture of him walking up to me.
Arrival at Orifite Town Hall and Photo Sessions

Immediately Timothy arrived, we didn't waste time. We jumped into a tricycle (keke) and took a three-drop ride straight to the venue. The wedding was held at Orifite Town Hall, located at No. 54 Azikiwe Road, Aba.
When we got there, I snapped the front view of the hall and the vibrant surroundings. Everything outside was so lively! People and the asoebi ladies were moving around, and the men dressed in clean white attire (the ones who traditionally welcome the groom) were all active

After taking my solo pictures, Timothy joined me, and we took some awesome photos together in front of the banner. We also ran into one of the asoebi ladies, those gorgeous ladies in uniform who are responsible for bringing out the bride, and we took a memorable picture with her.

Before heading inside, I also caught up with a very good friend of mine whose brother is the groom, his name is princewill Iheasota. He asked us to take a picture of him as well, which we gladly did.
Entering the Hall and Enjoying the Ceremony

The wedding was strictly by invitation, and entry was permitted only with our access cards. As we walked through the security checks, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that our outfits matched the color code of the day, white on white! It felt like we planned it. The ushers warmly accepted us and directed us to our seats.

Taking pictures inside wasn't easy because moving around too much could get you restricted or embarrassed by security. However, from where I was seated, I managed to capture some wonderful moments of the parents and the couple on stage.
The program was exceptionally entertaining! There were fun couple games, including a singing competition where the bride and groom had to sing for each other, share a romantic kiss, and enjoy a toast together. Interestingly, the bride won the singing competition game. Later, the couple was called out separately, and guests were given the opportunity to spray money and show appreciation.
Time for the Delicious Food!
Of course, no Nigerian wedding is complete without the party jollof rice! Shortly after the main activities, food was shared to the guests. I was served, and honestly, the food was so delicious that I ate two full foil packs of rice! To step it down, I also enjoyed a chilled bottle of Pepsi.

Right after finishing my meal, seeing that time was moving fast, I decided it was time to take my leave. It was truly a fantastic day out, filled with good food, great company, and wonderful memories.
Conclusion & Best Wishes
Before I drop my pen, I want to use this medium to sincerely congratulate Laisbrey and Grace once again. May your marriage be filled with endless love, peace, joy, and divine understanding. Wishing you both a very happy and prosperous lifetime together!
