I made a new portrait drawing with a ballpoint pen
Hello everyone, trust you're doing great. Today is the second day of this beautiful month and I hope this month brings you lots of blessings. I made a new beautiful drawing this morning using my blue ballpoint pen which I'll love to share with you.
The inspiration behind this drawing first came when I saw a video of Michael Jackson's meeting with Princess Diana. After I scrolled past the YouTube short, the next video that came into view was Princess Diana dressed in such an admirable way.
I decided to make a quick sketch of her from what I had seen. I noticed many people still loved her even after the tragic incident that took place.
Below are the step by step process, I took in the making of this drawing:
Step 1:
I started by drawing the outlines of her hat and her hairs
Step 2:
I completed drawing the outlines of her hairs and proceeded to draw the curvature of her face, her eye brows, eye lashes, eyes, nose, lips and ear rings.
Then I proceeded to sketch the outlines of the nature of clothes she was putting on.
Step 3:
With my blue ballpoint pen, I started drawing grid patterns across the clothing materials she's putting on to serve as the clothing design.
And I shaded some parts but didn't complete neither the shading nor the grid pattern in this step.
Step 4:
Here I proceeded to shade the hat she's wearing. With the intention of revealing the shape of the hat and its curves and somehow it looked great.
Step 5:
Here I completed drawing the grid patterns on the fabrics of the clothes she's putting on and shaded the parts I believed needed to be shaded.
This is how I made this drawing after starting it from scratch.
I also ensured all the lines are bold enough to make the drawing more visible and appealing to the eyes.
