Sunday's are usually very occupied especially now when high schools are closing for their second term. Invitations are here and there and everyone wants me to attend. Yes, it's our first time since we relocated. I have already made new friends who are kids and teenagers.

3 weeks ago, I was invited to their graduation which was to take ace this past Sunday being 26th is July 2026. I decided to attend because even the school is owned by a friend. About 3 kids are graduating, 2 from high school and 1 from basic 6.

On the day of the graduation, we first attended our Christian meeting since it was on Sunday. We usually hold our meetings by 1.30 pm. Below are the pictures we took before heading to the graduation venue.

Then, after our Christian meeting, we took more pictures as we had some brothers and sisters that were interested in taking pictures with us

This meeting ended by 3. 15 pm, then we headed for the graduation venue. I wasn't familiar with the route and so we asked Brother Buchi to lead us to the place since he himself wanted to attend. We followed him. The road was so bad that we had to take the longest route but thankfully, we arrived early to still meet the event.

As soon as we got their, the host was so hospitable that she reasoned that we came from a far distance and offered us food and water. Take a look at the food below as we balanced to cool down and enjoy the food. It was very refreshing! Just what we needed at that moment!

The food was so big that I wasn't able to finish it. I had to gift it out. Then we moved to the graduation location, performances were already in progress. Pupils were already giving out their voices in various displays, dances, diction/ oral English competition, recitations, dances, challenges and more.

In the end, the graduating students were ushered in. They cames in their gorgeous attires and wonderful dance steps. They all were really glittering! They were so happy and excited. That feelings of graduation where one will no longer be addressed as a student of the high school. To them it felt like a freedom. At least going to the university is better but not knowing that it is with it's own challenges, way bigger and better though, as they will then handle them with their somehow matured minds.

Below are the boys/ friends that had invited me to this event

They all joined hands to cute the cake, lit candles and proclaimed their wishes. It was colorful. But I couldn't capture much for the following reasons

  1. We were late
  2. We sat at the back where I wasn't getting everything clearly
  3. I was so tired and exhausted from the journey
  4. It was getting dark

All I was doing was struggle to even see their performances but all the same, everything went very well. Both parents and guardians and invited guests were all happy and wished there was still time to continue.

The name of the school is Heroes Schools. That was my first time of visiting that school. I had been hearing that it was very far away from my place of residence but I just got to confirm it that day. It was truly far away.

When we relocated last year, it was one of the schools that was suggested for my son but they said the distance it's far for him. I now see why everyone kept saying that. It makes more sense now.

We waited for the person we had gone with and another brother who knew a shorter and better route to lead us home. We got home late and also tired. Bit we were happy for the experience.

Guess what? There at the venue, I got 2 more invitations to attend 2 graduations, one will be this coming Sunday and the next will be this coming Monday. And these ones are very close to my house. I will be there early and energetic, I will get a better seat and enjoy the event more. One of the schools is Hemeson International schools, theirs will be this Sunday. You will get to know the name of the second one later.

Thanks a million for reading through and getting the experience through my writing.

All pictures were taken with my device, hence, they are mine!
