My hobby, my creative world — from pencil lines to colors and clay art! Season 34 | Week 10 | Challenge Questions 1: Where's Your Hobby?
Today I am sharing my experiences about my favorite hobby, art, drawing and clay art, in the first challenge of week 10 of season 34.
The world of my hobby
Art for me is not limited to making a picture. It is a way to express your ideas, try new things and improve your creativity. Sometimes I draw a face with a pencil, sometimes I create a sunset scene with the help of colors, and sometimes I try to make cute little figures out of clay. All these activities have one thing in common: each creation gives me the opportunity to learn something new.
I have collected my various creations in one image so that you can have a glimpse of my creative world. It includes pencil sketches, color painting, clay figures and a scene inspired by nature. For me, every work has its own story.
Pencil Sketching: From a line to a full picture
One of the interesting and mind-blowing aspects and good things of drawing is that in the beginning there are only a few simple ordinary lines on paper, but gradually these lines begin to reveal a face, a character or a complete sketch with using your mind and hands.
I am particularly interested, excited and wanted in drawing facial features, eyes, hair and expressions with pencil. Capturing and creating a face on paper requires observation and attention to fine details and it's a basic things. Sometimes a part has to be redone and sometimes the shadows have to be changed, but this process helps to make the drawing even better and teach you a lesson to become better and more.
I believe that a good drawing is not only made by hand skills, but also by patience, observation and continuous effort.
Magical world of colors
My works also include colorful paintings. Rendering a scene through color is an interesting part of art for me. For example, in a sunset painting, the blue sky, orange light and dark shadows combine to create a beautiful scene. Similarly, green trees, blue water and bright colors in natural scenes bring life to the picture.
Working with color gives me an opportunity to understand how different colors combine with each other to change the overall impression of the image. Sometimes even a small change makes a difference in the beauty of the whole painting.
Clay Art: When Ideas Take Shape
My creative passion is not limited to paper and pencil. Clay art is also an art that allows imagination to take shape.
There are also a few small clay figures in my picture. Seeing them shows that with the help of different colors and small details, even a simple idea can become beautiful.
Working with clay requires attention to form, proportion and fine details. Every step is important in this art, as even a slight change can change the look and feel of the developing figure.
To me, drawing and clay art are two beautiful expressions of creative thinking, though different from each other.
What did I learn from this hobby?
Art has made me realize that it is important to constantly strive to improve something. Not every creation lives up to our expectations on the first try, but that doesn't mean we can't learn.
Sometimes the proportions in a sketch need to be improved, sometimes the colors in a painting need to be used correctly, and sometimes the details of a clay figure need to be reworked.
Such opportunities allow me to realize my mistakes and try better next time. For me the importance of a creation lies not only in its end result, but also in the entire process by which it is completed.
Is art an expensive hobby?
I think you don't have to have expensive equipment to start making art. Drawing can also be started with an ordinary pencil, rubber and paper. For colors, basic colors can be enough, while for clay art, materials can be chosen according to one's convenience and budget. The important thing is that one starts with the resources available according to one's interest and gradually increases one's experience.
My next goal
I want to improve my drawing, painting and clay art skills with time. I wish to learn new styles, work on different subjects and express my ideas more beautifully through my creations.
Every new creation is a new experience for me. I don't think that the learning process ends with one image or one skill, because in art there is always room to try something new and improve.
I hope we will share our experiences and ideas in the comments and learn something new from each other.
Finally, I would like to say that expressing creativity doesn't always require something big. Sometimes a pencil, a paper and a small thought can be the beginning of a beautiful journey.
