KANDAR COFFEE Premium

Hey everyone, a few days ago when we went on a getaway to Sabang Island, we had just finished snorkeling at Rubiah Island. Since we hadn’t had lunch yet, on the way back we decided to find a small eatery where we could rest and hang out for a bit before returning to our lodging. We arrived at a small guesthouse and eatery called Kandar Coffee Premium. We stopped there for lunch and to enjoy some drinks.

When we arrived, we immediately parked our car right in front of the coffee shop. After parking, we headed straight to a table. Since we were already hungry, we immediately ordered rice—which you serve yourself from a container—along with side dishes that were already on the shelf. After filling our bowls with rice and side dishes, we placed them on the table and chairs we’d taken earlier. We also ordered drinks; I just ordered iced tea.

In addition, the interior features wallpaper listing the food and drink menu, while the ceiling of the coffee shop is adorned with lights surrounded by creative woven bamboo decorations.

Room Conditions

The space looks stylish—especially the wooden table, which, combined with the wallpaper, decorative lighting, and black chairs, gives the coffee shop a very elegant feel.

We really enjoyed the food and drinks there, especially since we’d been hungry since morning and hadn’t had a proper meal yet. After we finished eating, we headed straight back to the inn to rest and pack up in preparation for check-out.

The bottom line is that this coffee shop is pretty good—the prices for drinks and food are still affordable and about the same as in downtown Banda Aceh. The coffee shop looks even more charming at night, especially with the creatively designed bamboo lamps.
