The Diary Game: A busy day installing servers, IP cameras, and IP phones 🖥️📹
Assalamu Alaikum,
I am @nazmul01 from Mymensingh, Bangladesh.
Hello "Steem Open Circle" Family. I hope everyone is doing well. Alhamdulillah, I am doing well too. Today, I would like to share with you a great experience from my work. Today's tasks included monitoring equipment in the server rack, organizing disorganized network cables, installing IP cameras, and setting up IP phone connections. Let’s walk through today’s tasks step by step.
Location:- Mymensingh, Dhaka, Bangladesh
At the start of the task, I examined the condition of the various network devices and cables housed within the server rack. The rack contained several routers, along with essential networking and security system equipment. First, I identified the purpose of each device and how the cables were connected; having a clear understanding of the entire setup from the outset is crucial for completing the work accurately.

At this stage, I set out to organize the disorganized network cables inside the server rack. With so many cables bundled together, the entire setup looked messy—a situation that could make it difficult to identify specific cables or perform future maintenance.

After organizing the cables, I checked the connections to the network switch and related devices. A key part of this process was verifying that every cable was plugged into the correct port and that all network devices were functioning properly. Neatly arranging the cables inside the server rack makes the entire setup much cleaner. Furthermore, it will make it easier to identify and resolve any issues that may arise in the future.

Along with IP cameras, working with IP phones was also part of today’s tasks. IP phones facilitate voice communication over a network; therefore, ensuring proper network connectivity and the necessary configuration is crucial. I handled the connection and setup of the IP phones. I ensured that everything was integrated seamlessly with the overall network infrastructure to guarantee the smooth operation of the communication system. Finally, I re-examined the server rack, network connections, and the IP camera system. I verified that all cables were correctly connected, the necessary devices were powered on, and the live video feed from the cameras was visible.
That was my work experience for today. I hope you enjoy this post. Take care, everyone, and stay healthy. Please keep me in your prayers so that I can continue to learn new things and further enhance my skills in the future.
