Serie A After Seven Rounds: Two Leaders, One Very Close Race
Hello to everyone in the Steem Venezuela community and to all Steem readers.
After seven rounds, Serie A is beginning to show a clearer picture, but it is still far too early to make predictions. Inter and Lazio are level on 19 points, Roma are just two behind, and Milan remain close enough to keep the race open.
The seventh matchday offered several important results. Inter came from behind to beat Bologna 3–1, Lazio won 3–0 at Juventus and Roma continued their unbeaten start with a 2–0 victory over Genoa.
Inter remain first on goal difference, but Lazio’s win in Turin was perhaps the strongest statement of the round. Both teams have six wins and one draw, and their different styles could make the title race more interesting in the coming weeks.
Roma are quietly building something solid. With five wins and two draws, they have conceded only three goals in seven matches. The next game against Napoli will be a real test of whether they can stay in touch with the two leaders.
Como are also becoming a team to watch. Their 3–1 win at Fiorentina took them to 14 points and fifth place, while Frosinone impressed with a 4–2 victory over Sassuolo. Neither side needs to be called a title contender yet, but both have made a strong start.
Juventus and Napoli, however, had a difficult round. Juventus lost 3–0 at home to Lazio, while Napoli were beaten 1–0 by Venezia. Both teams still have time to recover, but they need a response quickly.
Monza and Torino ended the round with confident wins. Monza beat Cagliari 4–0, while Torino won 3–0 away at Parma. Those results may matter later, especially for teams trying to build momentum in a tightly packed table.
For me, the most interesting thing about this stage of the season is that Serie A has not become predictable. Inter and Lazio are setting the pace, Roma are close, and several teams below them are still capable of changing the picture.
Which team has impressed you most after seven rounds? Do you think Inter and Lazio can stay at the top, or will Roma and Milan become serious title challengers?
Thank you for reading!
