Trusting in Difficult Times

I'm happy to finally make my entry into this contest. I've had it keep in my notepad but haven't gotten time to write about it but I'm glad I'm doing so today. I've got few things to share as touching this topic and I hope you find this entry of mine interesting. Let's get right into it.
Do you remember a time in your life when you had to hold on to your confidence to avoid giving up?
Oh yeah! There was this time in my life when I was figuring out what to do, I had just finished serving my dear country and needed something doing. I had to resolve to serving in a farm since it's an interest that had already being building up even before I went for service. I started the job at the farm and everything went smoothly until a time I couldn't cope anymore.
My boss and I started having misunderstanding. There were times the misunderstanding stem out of my mistakes or incompetence and there were other time it was from my boss. It lingered for so long, it affected my pay, this was the time inflation was just getting to hit us badly in Nigeria, I was struggling to keep up with feeding and other things.

It's was such a hard season for me, I wanted to quit, but I held on to a knowing that it will all be better soon. I knew I was going to leave if there must be a change and leaving for good would help save what was left of the relationship that was almost breaking apart. I ended up leaving but on a good note, it was a hard decision but I made it anyways.
For you, what is the difference between resigning yourself to a problem and trusting that everything will pass?
Resigning one's self to a problem actually means being hopeless about coming out of a problem. Before an individual gets to this point, he or she must have pushed and tried a lot of things to get a solution but to no avail and somehow they have resolved to just live with the problem.

Trusting that everything will pass is the optimistic side of dealing with a problem. While the other resigns to the problem and decides to live with it, the other still sees a bright side to the whole situation, he is not ready to back down or accept the unpleasant situation. He keeps hope and faith alive that everything will work out just fine.
In my case, I had a choice to remain in that farm where I had to struggle with taking care of my needs as long as I stay or refuse to be comfortable and look for something better. I eventually got a better job that paid me 3 times what I was earning there....so that horrible situation passed without me resigning to my problem.
Do you believe that trust is something that is earned little by little, or are you one of those who trusts from the first moment?
When it comes to trust, I find it a bit hard to trust someone completely, although I give people a benefit of doubt before I finally make up my mind about them. Sometimes it cost me and at other times it help me perfectly to understand the kind of people I'm dealing with.
For me trust is earned little by little, the little by little there represent process, meaning you can't completely trust people until they prove themselves to be trusted. I would love to wrap it up here.
I hope you enjoyed my piece. Feel free to share with me your thoughts in the comments section.
