SLC33-W6: My Community, My Story – Challenges in My Community

Hello dear friends, how are you all? I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah. I am also very well by the grace of Allah. Today I am here with a post about participating in a competition. The contest hosted by @josepha in the third week of Steemit Challenge Season 33 is SLC33-W6: My Community, My Story – Challenges in My Community. I am ready to participate in this competition with pleasure. Let's get started.

Introduce your community, name, and location

I reviewed a busy street for the purpose of the competition. I have selected a place that identifies a problem in our community. So I am on the busiest street in my city where people constantly face problems. I will discuss with you today the traffic congestion situation in my community. According to the competition topic, I have found out the traffic congestion situation on the road and am sharing it with you. The road I reviewed for you is located from Dhaka Jahangir Gate to BAF Shaheen College. This road is constantly congested, wasting valuable time for our community. Hundreds of thousands of vehicles create traffic jams here every day, causing long-term suffering for people.

What is the major challenge affecting your community, and how does the problem affect the people in your community?

The biggest obstacle in my community is the traffic jam. Traffic congestion is a national problem that even the government struggles to solve. People have to endure a lot of suffering to deal with a traffic jam. Especially when dealing with this traffic jam situation, many people are postponing valuable work. Traffic congestion is constantly becoming an obstacle to reaching offices, courts, and specific places at specific times. Such traffic jams occur every day on various roads in the city. Traffic police and others have a role to play in dealing with the traffic jams and are trying to eliminate them. It is very unfortunate that traffic congestion has not been eliminated despite long-standing efforts. This is because the country's roads are narrow and space is limited. So I have been able to review it and realize in my mind that traffic congestion is the biggest obstacle in my community.

Tell us what you think is the cause of the problem that is affecting your community

The biggest challenge in my community is dealing with traffic congestion. Everyone from employees to businesses and hospital patients have to deal with this traffic jam situation. In other words, one of the daily obstacles for people is dealing with traffic jams. People open their daily activity schedules to deal with traffic jams. I have been constantly noticing such traffic congestion in my community. There is no person in the community who has not had to deal with traffic congestion at least once. That is, everyone has to face such a changing situation every day. This wastes people's valuable time and results in a lot of waste.

Tell us the efforts that have been made to address it, and tell us your solution to the problem.

The government has been working on solving the traffic problem for a long time, but I haven't seen much improvement. It is the government's responsibility to constantly recruit police to control traffic situations and control traffic congestion through traffic police. But even in such a situation, the local area administrator is unable to deal with such traffic congestion. I assume the main reason for many is excess traffic and illegal vehicles. However, it is commendable that the government is trying to resolve this, but it is very important to take better and faster steps. Otherwise, it will not be possible to deal with such traffic congestion and it will only increase the suffering for everyone.

As someone who wants this problem to be solved, tell us how community members, organisations, or government can help

One step the government should take to solve this problem is to build overbridges at intervals along the road. Not only will people have to adapt to this government move, but people will also have to use such footbridges. Otherwise, the government will not be able to deal with such traffic congestion. I think it is possible to deal with such problems by obeying traffic signals on the road and by being skilled drivers and not resorting to unethical practices. Therefore, it is important for the government to pay very close attention to such initiatives.
