A Portrait of Life, Strength and Experience

Greetings, fellow steenians. I am sure you are all fine today. I am delighted to have created this beautiful drawing today. This piece of art showcases a sense of wisdom and life experience, considering the wrinkles, beard and the eye. Below are the steps I have taken in this drawing.

Materials for the drawing

• White embossed paper
• 2B pencil
• 4B pencil
• Eraser
• Blade
• Brush

Step 1
I sketched the right eye, including the pupil and eyelid. I also drew the nose using a 2B pencil

Step 2
I sketched the second eye, the pupil in the eye, the eyebrows of both eyes, and the wrinkles around the eyes.

Step 3
I sketched the shape of the face, the wrinkles in the forehead, the mouth and the cheek. I used a 2B pencil to achieve this step.

Step 4
Here, I shaded the beard on the man's cheek, lower and upper jaw. I also shaded the mouth using a 4B pencil. The beard is so thick that it almost cover his mouth.

Step 5
I shaded the entire face of the man, beginning with the forehead down to the cheek. I also shaded the eye, the pupils, the nose and darkened the area around the eye.

Step 6
Here, I darkened the shading on his face and the wrinkles. I also shaded some dark spots on the face.

Step 7
I shaded the head warmer the man put on, the hair that rested on the forehead and added more beard on the man's face.
