Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 159: Life is a Journey
Hello, friends, welcome to my post in which I have discussed "Life is a Journey" as part of my participation in this contest organized by @steem4nigeria
Do you think it's better to focus on reaching your goals or just enjoying the ride?
Yes, I think it's better to focus on reaching my goals rather than enjoying the ride. What I need right now is focus and not distraction, or too much enjoyment at my level in life.
I don't rush things; I am someone who takes things gradually and believes in long-term goals. Focusing on reaching my goals would do me more good in the future than enjoying the ride now when I am fully aware that I don't have much to cover my needs.
What’s a mistake you made that actually ended up being a good thing in the long run?
Loving others more than myself and trying to be too nice to people has really affected my mental and financial life.
However, it is a mistake that I have realised, and since I have stopped loving and caring for people more than myself, I am now getting myself better. Loving myself and putting myself first is the best thing I am doing in my life right now.
Do you feel like you’re still the same person you were a few years ago, or have you become someone totally new?
No, I don't feel like I am still the same person I was a few years ago; I feel that I have become someone totally new. A lot of things about me have really changed: the way I think, the way I see things, my character, my growth, and my status in life have really changed for good, which I am so happy about.
Life is all about making progress and positive changes in life and not about remaining reluctant without making progress.
Who is someone you met who changed the way you look at things?
I have met with a lot of people in my life who really make me see things from a different perspective. @simonnwigwe is the person I have met who has changed the way I look at things. Initially I do look at things in a narrow prospective but now his influence in my life has make me to begin look at things is a bigger way.
If you could go back and redo one part of your life, would you actually want to?
If I could go back and redo one part of my life, I would actually want to be a difficult person. I have come to understand that having a soft and good mind towards people in Nigeria doesn't make someone end up well; instead, the person or people you're being nice to would always want to take advantage of your kindness. I would have to have a strong mind to say no to something I don't want and stand by it.
