Do you think it's better to focus on reaching your goals or just enjoying the ride?

Yes, I believe both are important, but if I am to choose one in my present condition, I would choose to be focused so I can have direction and motivation to work better and harder, while enjoying the journey that leads to success.

Sometimes in my life I pay more attention to achieving my goal without enjoying myself, and with this I can say the best approach for someone like me is to work toward my dream while I appreciate every little achievement that comes my way.

What’s a mistake you made that actually ended up being a good thing in the long run?

One mistake that I made was a mistake of me spending too much or my time waiting for the perfect moment to come before taking action. I thought everything needed to be perfect for me before I could start.

At some point, I then realised that waiting was only holding me back. I lost some valuable time, but the experience taught me that in life, progress comes from the action we take and from the mistakes we learn from. However, what happened made me understand that it is better to stand with what I have at hand.

Do you feel like you’re still the same person you were a few years ago, or have you become someone totally new?

Yes, I strongly believe that I have changed in many ways. A few years ago, I looked at myself in a different way, and my understanding of relationships, personal responsibility, and success was not as deep as it is today. In all of this, and with the current economic situation in Nigeria, life has taught me that patience, resilience, and making important decisions are the best things that I can do for myself.

Who is someone you met who changed the way you look at things?

My friend at my previous place of work is the person who changed the way I look at things. He taught me the importance of consistency and patience through his actions.

While at our place of work, I used to observed how he handled difficultiee which his way of handling difficulties help me to understand that success does not always come quickly, and everyone in life has their own journey. It is from him that I learned that I shouldn't compare my progress in life with that of others because we all have different opportunities and circumstances in life.

If you could go back and redo one part of your life, would you actually want to?

Some of the decisions that I made when I was younger are what I would go back and change. The decisions that were influenced by fear, lack of direction, or hesitation. I would encourage myself to take more opportunities, develop useful skills earlier in my life, and stop worrying too much about making mistakes.
