Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 159: Life is a Journey
Do you think it's better to focus on reaching your goals or just enjoying the ride?
Yes, I think it's better to focus on reaching my goals than to enjoy the ride. This is because I haven't achieve anything that is meaningful that can sustain me for long if I should start enjoying the ride.
Enjoying the ride can lead to having regret tomorrow, but if I focus on reaching my goals, knowing where I am coming from and what I need in life would help me become who I have always dreamed of becoming, and even if I decide to start enjoying the ride by then, I would still have something to fall back on.
What’s a mistake you made that actually ended up being a good thing in the long run?
Being afraid to do something and procrastinating things. In the past, when someone tells me about an opportunity, I procrastinate about it, and I was too afraid to give something a try because I never want to lose money trying something new. Despite being afraid to try something new, my procrastination lifestyle helps me avoid online scams.
Do you feel like you’re still the same person you were a few years ago, or have you become someone totally new?
No, I don't feel like I am still the same person I was a few years ago; I have become someone totally new. I have grown in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. I have achieved some of the things that I dreamt of achieving; my character and finances have improved small and I do feel better and respected than some few years ago.
Who is someone you met who changed the way you look at things?
It is my friend at 12 Basket Chop. During the time I was working at 12 Basket, I came across someone of almost my type. The girl is an easygoing person, an understanding person, and she is caring. Her way of life influenced me and calmed me down to be a humble and kind person.
If you could go back and redo one part of your life, would you actually want to?
If I could go back and redo one part of my life, I would have redone the part where I told my parents that I would rather wait and go to a university directly than go to the College of Health.
Had I accepted my parents' decision, I would have been done with the College of Health and working or looking for a direct-entry admission, but as I was at home, my dad's friend came and told my dad that a private school was giving a scholarship, so my dad sent me to the school that I don't understand.
