Contest Alert Animal activities week# 95 (Tiny Parrot, A Lifetime of Memories)
Greeting friends
How are you all?I am @ roohiasif99 from Pakistan.I hope everybody doing well .Today here I am participating this wonderful contest which organized by @xkool24.I am Thankful for my lovely friend arranging such a nice contest .Today, I am going to share the story of my beloved parrot, with whom I spent 12 years of my life.
This happened when I was preparing for my matriculation exams. There was a huge tree in the courtyard of our house. It was very dense and provided plenty of shade. One day, while I was sleeping, I heard the sweet chirping of birds. Their sounds always bring me peace and make me feel close to nature. When I went outside, I saw a baby parrot lying under the tree. It had fallen out of its nest. I immediately picked up the baby parrot from the ground. When I saw its tiny feathers, I thought, “This little baby parrot is so beautiful! It has a lovely beak and beautiful eyes.” I felt that I should take care of this little bird. I went to the kitchen, took some chickpeas, and ground them into a fine powder. Then, I placed the baby parrot in a cage so that I could keep an eye on it and take care of it whenever I passed by.
(Baby parrot)
Slowly, the baby parrot also started growing, and its feathers became visible. I started teaching it words, and it repeated the words I said. I taught it to say “Welcome,” “Salam,” and “Goodbye.” Since I am the only child of my parents, I used to spend hours talking to it. In a way, it had also become my child. After a few days, preparations for my wedding began at home. I started worrying about what would happen to my parrot if I got married and left home. I felt that I could not live without it.I talked to my fiancé and told him that I wanted to keep my parrot with me after marriage. He said, “That's fine. I have no objection. You can take it with you.”Then I got married and took my parrot with me. My entire in-laws’ family was surprised that I had brought such a beautiful parrot with me. My parrot had become a part of my dowry, too.
(The male and female parrots in a cage)
As time passed, I had three children. My husband suggested that we bring a female parrot for our parrot so that it could have a mate. My husband brought a female parrot, and we bought another cage. After a few days, I noticed eggs in the cage, and soon, tiny baby parrots started hatching. Then, we bought a bigger cage for the parrots so they could have more space to live comfortably.Twelve years passed, and my parrot’s voice also started changing as it grew older. One morning, when I woke up and went to the terrace to feed the birds, I saw my parrot lying in the cage, while the female parrot was sitting quietly on one side. When I touched my parrot, its body was stiff. It had passed away. I started crying loudly. My husband and children rushed to the terrace when they heard me crying. He was not just a parrot to me; he was a part of my life, and losing him was heartbreaking. My husband comforted me and said, “Everyone who comes into this world has to leave one day. This is the reality of life.” Even today, whenever I remember my parrot, tears come to my eyes. Now, I only have his memories and pictures. Whenever I look at his pictures, I remember the beautiful moments I spent with him.
So guys,It's time to leave .I hope you like my belog and give me a good response.before I go,I would like to I vote my lovely Steemit friends @subooji@routhjoy@maryam86 to Invite this contest .
