༻꧂Good Noon Steemians༻꧂

Assalamu Alaikum my dear friends!

I hope you all are doing well. Today I want to share a simple but heartfelt story about two swans, Marcy and Sadi. Well their story is about love, waiting, separation. A bond that remained even after one of them was gone. I hope you enjoy reading it guys. ❤️

༻Where Love Still Waits༻

There was a beautiful and calm lake between the mountains. In the morning a light mist would cover its water. When the first rays of the sun fell on the water. The entire lake would look golden.

On this lake lived a beautiful white swan, whose name was Sadi.

On the other side of the lake. There lived another white swan, whom Sadi affectionately called Marcy.

At first, the two would just swim close to each other. Then, who knows when, this daily habit turned into love.

Sadi would come to the lake shore every morning before sunrise. She would keep looking at the quiet water, until she would see Marcy's white face from afar.

She would call him happily.

“Marcy…”

Marcy would immediately start swimming towards her.

This was their little world.

Morning together.

Evening together.

And waiting for each other in the middle of the day.

If Marcy ever came late, Sadi would get restless. She kept looking at the same path he always came back from.

One day Marcy came very late.

Sadi turned away angrily and sat down.

Marcy slowly approached her. Sadi ignored her.

He came closer and touched her wings lightly with his beak.

Sadi finally saw him.

The two of them stared at each other for a while.

Then Sadi slowly moved closer to her.

Her resentment had faded.

Perhaps complaints in love don’t last long.

Time passed.

The seasons kept changing.

In the spring, the two of them would swim among the blooming flowers on the lakeshore. In the summer, they would rest in the shade of the trees, and in the evening, they would go to the middle of the lake and watch the setting sun.

Sadi loved the evenings very much.

She would often take a final lap of the lake with Marcy, then return to her nest.

Marcy would always leave her some distance away.

As if she couldn’t rest without seeing him.

Then one night everything changed.

The sky suddenly turned black.

A strong wind began to blow and the waves of the lake began to rise.

Sadi was near her nest while Marcy was on the other side of the lake.

It started to rain.

The wind was so strong that many tree branches broke and fell into the lake.

Sadi stayed there to save her nest.

She was sure that Marcy would return.

He always came back.

But that night he didn’t come back.

When the storm ended in the morning, the lake’s landscape had changed.

Many trees had fallen.

The nest had broken.

And Marcy was nowhere to be seen.

Sadi went to the shore of the lake.

She looked far away and called out.

“Marcy…”

There was no answer.

She called out again.

Still there was silence.

She sat there all day.

The next morning she came back.

And the next day.

And the day after that.

Every morning Sadi stood in the same place and called out to Marcy.

The other swans explained to her that she might never come back.

But Sadi did not give up hope.

Marcy was alive.

A huge storm wave had carried him far away. He crashed into a rocky shore and injured one of his wings.

For several days he could not fly.

But he remembered only one thing.

Sadi.

Every day he tried to move his wings.

First a few steps.

Then a little flight.

Finally one morning he was high in the air.

He was going back.

After several days of traveling. He saw the same mountains.

The same lake.

The same house.

Marcy immediately came to the lake.

He looked everywhere for Sadi.

He went to their old place.

Then to the nest.

But Sadi was nowhere to be found.

He was about to call her when he suddenly heard a familiar voice from afar.

“Marcy…”

He immediately turned in that direction.

Sadi was on the other side of the lake.

She was weak, but her eyes sparkled with joy when she saw Marcy.

The two moved towards each other.

When they got close, Sadi put her neck against Marcy’s.

Marcy spread her wings around him.

The separation of several days ended in an instant.

After that, the two built their nest again.

Life became calm once again.

But the storm had weakened Sadi from the inside.

She could no longer swim very far.

Marcy would stay with her.

The slower she swam, the slower Marcy would swim.

If she had stopped, he would have stopped too.

One evening they were sitting by the lake watching the sun set.

The sky had turned orange.

Sadi put her head under Marcy’s wings.

Marcy sat quietly beside her.

That evening was very quiet.

Perhaps unusually quiet.

The next morning when Marcy opened her eyes, Sadi was completely silent.

He touched her lightly with his beak.

Then again.

Sadi did not move.

Marcy sat beside her for a long time.

But Sadi was gone forever.

That day the lake was the same.

The water was the same.

The trees were the same.

Only Marcy’s world had changed.

Days passed.

Marcy became lonely.

But he never forgot Sadi.

Every morning he went to the same place where Sadi called him.

And every evening before sunset, he would come and sit on the same bank.

Years passed.

Marcy grew old.

His wings grew weak, but his habit did not change.

He still came back to the same lake every evening.

Sometimes he would look at the water.

Sometimes he would look at the sky.

And sometimes he would close his eyes and remember the voice that used to call him every morning.

“Marcy…”

Sometimes when the wind blew through the trees, he would feel as if Sadi was still calling him.

He would immediately look up.

But there was no one there.

There was only the lake.

The silent lake.

And on its shore an old white swan.

Maybe Marcy knew that Sadi would never return.

Then He kept coming there every evening.

Because some loves don't end even after they end.

They become memories.

They become waiting.

And sometimes they stay together as a silent part of a whole life.

Sadi was gone, but Marcy's love remained there.

On the shore of the same lake.

By the same water.

Where the story of both of them began.

Where Love Still Waits. 🦢❤️

Assalamu Alaikum dear @sadaf02! 🌸
First of all, what an amazing love story between Marcy and Sadi!
So touching, so beautiful. I am moved by your description of their unconditional love, patience & loyalty towards each other even when things get rough.
Even though they lost to the pain of separation, you did a great job at describing that “Some Loves Don’t End Even After They End” 😭
Also, great job with the chosen images. Very suitable to match the mood of this story!
You have great abilities as a storyteller, loved reading this piece of creative writing.
Wishing you all the best in the contest. ❤️

Hermosa publicación, muchas gracias por la amable invitación, saludos! ☺️🦢
