Subsistence/ Commercial Farming

Subsistence farmings is a types of farming where farmers grow crops and raise animals mainly to feed themselves and their familes.They produce only a small amounts of food and very little is left to sell in the market.This types of farming is common in villages where people have small pieces of land and limited money.Farmers usually use simples tools and depend on family members for help.The main goal of subsistnce farming is to meet the daily food needs of the family insteads of earning a large income.Commercial farming is different from subsistnce farming. In commercial farming farmers grow crops or raised animals mainly to sell them in the market and earn money.They usually have larger farms and use moderns machines good quality seeds fertilizers and better irigations systems. Commercial farmings produces a large quantity of food and helps meet the needs of manys people.It also creates jobs and supports the economys of a country.

Both types of farming are very important.Subsistence farming helps familis become self-sufficient because they can grows their own food.It also reduces hunger in rural areas and keeps traditional farming methods alives.On the other hand commercial farming increases food production supports businesses improves farmers incomes and provides agriculturl products for local and international markets.It also encourages the use of modern technology to improve farming.

Both subsistence farming and commercial farming have their own value.Small farmers should be supported so they can improve their farming methods and increase their production.At the same time commercial farming should be managed carefully to protect the environment and use natural resources wisely.When both types of farming are balanced they help improve food security reduce poverty and strengthen agriculture.I enjoyed writing about this topic because it helped me understand the difference between subsistence farming and commercial farming.Agriculture is the backbone of many countries and every type of farming has an important role in providing food and improving people's lives.
